Once my friend said something ill about Supreme Lord Dwarkadhish. From then on I have never talked to him except for yesterday when I texted him about the same. He told me that he is sorry. Can I forgive him??

Of course, forgiveness is the quality of a vaishnava.
Can you imagine how many times we have offended the lord and He has mercifully forgiven us each time, that is the reason we are able to take His name now.
Especially when he is asking for forgiveness, then if you don't forgive, that is not good.
PLease mend fences and continue your devotion.

Krishna is like a mother who bears the kicks of its own child while feeding the child. Becoz the child is ignorant.
Do you remember What Bhrigu muni did?
Brighu muni directly hit the chest of Lord with his feet. Did Lord react? Yes he smiled and placing the feet of Brighu muni in HIS lap, caressed it. Seeing this act Srimati Laxmi devi got angered
and left vaikuntha. Becoz She expected immediate reaction from Her husband, the Supreme Lord, Sri Hari. She wanted Lord to simple behead Brighu muni.
Well, all other Gods also reacted the same way as Laxmi ji when Brighu tried to insult them.
Our Supreme Lord doesn't work like that He has perfect control on HIS senses and He doesn't react like humans. When time comes He does whatever necessary to teach the Bhakta
( applying Saam, daan, dand, bedh).
He simply caresses the feet of the muni and says I am so sorry I didn't see you entering and made you angered so much that you hurt you tender feet by hitting my stone hard chest. And while doing so He simply pierced the the eye of ignorance which was in the feet.
Brighu muni realized his mistake that even after doing so much of penance he couldn't control his anger and realized his folly to test Lord whether Lord has control on the vikaras.. ( kaam, krodh, lobha, moha and madh, matsarya).
See, when the false ego araises in the hearts of devotees... Lord gives time to rectify themselves first.
Even Hiranyakashyap got pride of his strengths and insulted Lord. Lord didn't react much. When Dharni mata ( Earth) got vexed by the sins created upon brahmins and innocent people
Lord came to save them by killing the Demon. Lord doesn't react so easily if anyone says anything against HIM. Hiranyakashyap made statues of himself and asked people to praise him and not Lord. Lord didn't come down to kill when Hiranyakshayap was doing so. Only when the egoism of this demon exceeded to such an extent that he began torturing innocent people then lord had to come down to save people.
But if someone starts to cross the line and starts to hurt innocent people then the time is right for Him to come to completely show the person the reality.
Lord Sri Krishna is very merciful and forgiving just like a mother. Who are we to curse someone or forgive someone.
Offenses done against Krishna, Lord only will take care of them.
If your friend realizes his mistake then ask him to seek shelter of Supreme Lord and seek His forgiveness and Sri Krishna forgives all those who surrender unto Him.
We have and we are doing so many countless mistakes against Supreme Lord since many many life times... Yet we are given oppurtunity to rectify ourself and get back to Him.
