Hare Krsna to all the Gurujis, Vaishnavas, and Vaishanavis! I have a request and a few doubts that I have been carrying.
Firstly, I am happy to announce that after many years of searching, I found my Guruji, Srila Amarendra Das Prabhu but he doesn't know about it. I have not associated with Iskon because of unforeseen circumstances. I request that you by any fortune happen to meet him or have a word... please do let him know that there is a person called Kirti waiting to be his disciple and worship his lotus feet. I will share his YouTube link so you know who exactly I am speaking about. Punyam Krsna Kathamritam
Doubts
1. Without the diksha of guruji can one wear Tulasi kanthi mala and Vaishnava Tilaka? And if yes how many rounds of Kanthi mala and to wear tilaka some mantras are written for Vaishnavas for different body parts, which mantra should a Vaishnavi speak while applying the tilaka?
2. What is the list of things that a person can do without diksha?
3. What are the etiquettes a person should follow after wearing kanthi mala and tilaka?
Replies
Wearing a Tulasi Kanthi Mala without diksha is still respectful, but for greater meaning, one should ideally be initiated. Vaishnava Tilaka can be used as a devotional practice without diksha or a particular mantra, but purity must always be upheld. contexto
After wearing the kanthi mala and tilaka, the bride and groom drink each other's cup of wedding wine according to the ritual.
