Hare Krsna

" Very recently an archaelogist published findings indicating that Lord Christ, after being buried, was exhumed and that he then went to Kashmir. "

Srimad-Bhagavatam 7.3.18 Purport

Unless there is great relevance in this statement it would not find itself in thd pages of Bhaktivedanta literature.

It appears that the soul can exist even through the bones, as shown by the personal example of Hiranyakasipu. It shouldn't be hard to believe in the resurrrection of Jesus Christ!

  • Śukadeva Gosvāmī continued speaking to Mahārāja Parīkṣit: My dear King, the King of KoṅkaVeṅka and Kuṭaka whose name was Arhat, heard of the activities of Ṛṣabhadeva and, imitating Ṛṣabhadeva’s principles, introduced a new system of religion. Taking advantage of Kali-yuga, the age of sinful activity, King Arhat, being bewildered, gave up the Vedic principles, which are free from risk, and concocted a new system of religion opposed to the Vedas. That was the beginning of the Jain dharma. Many other so-called religions followed this atheistic system.

Because Lord Buddha did not accept these Vedic principles, the Vedic teachers consider him to be an atheist.

Teachings of Lord Caitanya, Chapter 25

The form of the Supreme Lord which is beyond the modes of material nature is not like the forms of this material world. His form is fully spiritual and cannot be compared with any material form. According to Vedic literatures, one who does not accept the spiritual form of the Supreme Lord is an atheist. Because Lord Buddha did not accept these Vedic principles, the Vedic teachers consider him to be an atheist. Although Māyāvādī philosophers pretend to accept the Vedic principles, they indirectly preach Buddhist philosophy, or atheistic philosophy, and do not accept the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Māyāvādī philosophy is inferior to Buddhist philosophy, which directly denies Vedic authority. Because it is disguised as Vedānta philosophy, Māyāvādī philosophy is more dangerous than Buddhism or atheism.

This incarnation of Lord Buddha is not the same Buddha incarnation we have in the present history of mankind. According to Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, the Buddha incarnation mentioned in this verse appeared in a different Kali age. In the duration of life of one Manu there are more than seventy-two Kali-yugas, and in one of them the particular type of Buddha mentioned here would appear.

    Morning Walk -- May 7, 1975, Perth:

Amogha: Śrīla Prabhupāda, in Sikhism there was Guru Nanak and Guru Granth Sahib. Is that actually a real scripture, and was Guru Nanak actually a devotee? Or is that not correct?

Prabhupāda: They created a system of religion which can include Hindus and Muslim. That was at the time needed. But that is not a good system of religion.

Paramahaṁsa: You mean a compromise between the two.

Prabhupāda: Compromise, yes. There was too much strain between Hindus and Muslims, so he wanted to make a compromise. Actually there was only Vedic culture all over the world. As the things deteriorated, new systems of religion came in. Either the Sikh religion or the Christian or this religion, Muslim religion. They are, what is called, deformed type of religion. Religion is that sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ (BG 18.66). That is religion. These are later on deformed.

    Letter to Caitya-guru -- Honolulu 10 June, 1975

Will you kindly let me know what Guru Nanakji has said about Lord Krishna and Lord Rama in his Granth Sahib? How we can cooperate with the sikh community?

Letter to Mr. Dhawan -- Vrindaban 2 April, 1976

You are mentioning the Holy Names of Nanak, Krishna, Kabir, Christ, Mohammed, etc. Out of all of these names we accept Krishna as the Lord and all others representative servant of God, Krishna. In the English dictionary, it is said God is the Supreme Being, and when Krishna appeared on this earth He proved to be the Supreme Being in all respects. We are spreading this Krishna Consciousness Movement all over the world and if all the leaders would accept this philosophy of the Bhagavad-gita As It Is, then I am sure that the world would be fortunate to follow one type of religion, and accept one God without any faulty conviction.

I hope this is clear that all are servants.. of Lord and Lord is only Sri Krishna.

    • Yes, everyone is a servant of Krsna.

Ekala isvara Krsna ara sab bhrtya

      Cc

Nanak is also saying that Krsna/Govinda is the Supreme Lord.

You are blashpheming directly the confidential servants of Krsna. What if Guru Nanak is more dear to Krsna than you? Will Krsna tolerate? If you don't know, then don't speak. Compromise between Hindus and Muslims is a temporal affair, Prabhupada is talking about that. How come you are quoting him differently by saying Sikhism is a mixture of Islam and Christianity. Isme christianity kahaan se aagaya?

      • If Sikhism is your sanctuary, why does your mind keep scurrying back to "Avedic" concepts like a frightened mouse?

The truth is clear: You want the convenience of Sikh identity while secretly accepting Mowgli as supreme lord & envying the depth, logic, and cosmic supremacy of Sanatana Dharma.

But by all means - keep barking at the moon. The Vedas remain untouched by your tantrums.

        • Chal Jhoothe

I never said Christ is Supreme Lord.

          • Do you accept him as God or not?

            • I don't and neither does the Bible but that doesn't mean he is not a Lord of high reverence.

              • What kinda person you're? I cannot understand you.

                • I am simply like an insect who has constant rememberance of Krsna.

You called me many things and presumed to understand my mind just like you called Jesus ' Mowgli.' It is far more difficult to understand a person of the stature of Jesus Christ and even more difficult to understand Guru Nanak Dev ji.

I hope you can still follow the teaching of Sriman Caitanya Mahaprabhu who said one should be prepared to give respect to everyone without expecting any respect for oneself. Only then is it possible to remember Krsna constantly.

Sometimes, you got angry on butchers, will you still do 'amanina mana dena"?

                    • I am angry at you for blashpheming a great devotee.

I don't need to see your link.
