Does I committed a Vaishnav Appradh?

Hare Krishna 🙏😊

All glories to Srila Prabhupada Ji ❤️

I want to ask that every Vaishnav Acharya's said that Shiv Ji isn't different from Sri Krishna, Sri Krishna and Shiv Ji is equal that's why he's called Bhagwan not demigod like (Indra, Varun and Agni Dev etc) and he's the topmost Vaishnav.

So, one day I was debating with someone that (person said that some Vaishnav and Iskcon followers said that Shiv Ji is demigod, he's lusty and he's Tamsi). So, what I've heard from other Vaishnav Acharya's, I told him that woh sare log murkh h jo Shiv ji ko aise kehte h and unki Bhakti ussi din nasht ho gyi thi jiss din unhone yeh kaha hoga and unhone Vaishnav Appradh Kiya h. I know ki woh Tamsi Gunn k avatar h, but iska mtlab yeh toh nhi ki woh Tamsi ho jate h. Aur mene kaha ki kayi Vaishnav, Iskcon me khug yeh functions hote h bade paimane pr and Iskcon followers Shivratri ko vrat rakhte h taki woh Shiv ji ka ashirwad pa sake aur Shiv ji ki tarah Sri Krishna ki bhakti me aur lag sake.

So, did I committed a Vaishnav Appradh towards them who thinks all these things about Shiv Ji. Please answer me I'm so afraid 😨😳

Please answer me as many persons can do, I want a clear clarification on this😭

 Hare Krishna 🙏☺️

This is a verse from the Bṛhad-viṣṇu-sahasranāma-stotra in the Uttara-khaṇḍa of the Padma Purāṇa (72.335).

    English translation:

"Go and adopt Lord Sankara (Siva) as your Guru and obtain Hari bhakti from him. By attaining Hari bhakti, one will cross over this samsara. Guru is indeed Parabrahma, for he acts like the helmsman to cross this ocean of samsara."

    Hare Krsna

Shiv Ji isn't different from Sri Krishna, Sri Krishna and Shiv Ji is equal that's why he's called Bhagwan

Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are different and also similar.

    kṣīraṁ yathā dadhi vikāra-viśeṣa-yogāt
sañjāyate na hi tataḥ pṛthag asti hetoḥ
yaḥ śambhutām api tathā samupaiti kāryād
    govindam ādi-puruṣaṁ tam ahaṁ bhajāmi

Just as milk is transformed into curd by the action of acids, but yet the effect curd is neither same as, nor different from, its cause, viz., milk, so I adore the primeval Lord Govinda of whom the state of Śambhu is a transformation for the performance of the work of destruction. ( Brahma Samhita 5.45)

At the same time considering names and qualities of Lord SHiva to be same or indepenedent of names and qualities of Lord Vishnu is second  offense against holy names of Sri Krsna

    śivasya śrī-viṣṇor ya iha guṇa-nāmādi-sakalaṁ
dhiyā bhinnaṁ paśyet sa khalu hari-nāmāhita-karaḥ ( Purport Adi 8.24 from Padma Purana)

It is best to consider Lord Shiva as topmost devotee of Sri Krsna

woh sare log murkh h jo Shiv ji ko aise kehte h and unki Bhakti ussi din nasht ho gyi thi jiss din unhone yeh kaha hoga

This sounds more like a curse. This is unnecessary. Better not say such things. Whether someone's bhakti is destroyed or not , we need not be judeg of it. We better focus on our practice of bhakti.

    Hare Krsna

Shiv Ji is demigod, he's lusty and he's Tamsi

The above statement is definitely false and offensive. Lord Shiva is not lusty or in tamo guna. Lord Shiva is very unique, he is very great and most importantly he is topmost Vaishnava. There are atleast five perspectives on Lord Shiva

    1. Topmost Vaishnava :

    निम्नगानां यथा गङ्गा देवानामच्युतो यथा ।
    वैष्णवानां यथा शम्भु: पुराणानामिदं तथा ॥ १६ ॥
    nimna-gānāṁ yathā gaṅgā
    devānām acyuto yathā
    vaiṣṇavānāṁ yathā śambhuḥ
    purāṇānām idam tathā
Just as the Gaṅgā is the greatest of all rivers, Lord Acyuta the supreme among deities and Lord Śambhu [Śiva] the greatest of Vaiṣṇavas, so Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is the greatest of all Purāṇas. (SB12.13.16)
Lord Shiva is himself a vaishnava or worshipper of Lord Sri Vishnu. In fact Lord Shiva is the topmost Vaishnava. Lord Shiva constantly meditates on Lord Sri Rama. This is also evident from the fact that the most famous hero in Ramayana is Hanuman who is the most powerful yet devoted servant of Lord Sri Rama.

    2. Guru or Vaishnava Acarya
Rudra Sampradaya is one of the four bonafide vaishnava Sampradayas. In Rudra Sampradaya Lord Shiva is the topmost guru and founder of the Sampradaya who provides transcendental knowledge to perform Hari bhakti. Followers of Vallabhacarya and Pusthimarga come under this sampradaya. So Lord Shiva is a great vaishnava acarya. Other than this Lord Shiva also incarnates as Shankaracarya to defeat Buddhism and re-establish vedas as topmost authoritative scriptures.

    3. The destroyer
Lord Shiva is the detroyer of the universe. Creation, maintenance and destruction of world is part of Kaala Chakra. When time for destruction comes Lord Shiva performs tandava and destroys the whole universe.

    4. Demigod
Lord Shiva also plays role  of demigod, but he is not just any demigod. He is the greatest demigod. Most demigods are posts just like defence minister is a post which can be played by any qualified person. Demigods like Indra, Vayu etc are posts. Lord Shiva's position is unique. Nobody else can play role of Shiva as demigod. Because Lord Shiva is not a demigod, but for certain purposes he plays role of demigod. Example : When great kings perform yajna or sacrifice, they offer a share of oblations to various demigods. So Lord Shiva also gets a share in that. Daksha yajna was destroyed because Daksha did not offer share to demigod. Another example is that if any person performs tapasya for Shiva , then Shiva must provide a boon to them. So in some of these aspects Lord Shiva plays role  of demigod. But he is not just any ordinary demigod who can be replaced.

    5. Incharge of Mode of Ignorance
Lord Shiva is not in mode of ignorance, he is the incharge of mode of ignorance. He is the contoller of mode of ingorance and not controlled by mode of ignorance. All those entities which are in mode of ignorace are under the Lordship of Lord Shiva. But Shiva is himself not greatly affected by mode of ignorance.

Sri Krishna and Shiv Ji is equal that's why he's called Bhagwan
Lord Shiva and Lord Sri Krishna are not equal. Lord Sri Krishna is Bhagwan. Lord Shiva is not Bhagwan. There maybe references of Lord Shiva or even lord Brahma being referred as Bhagawan, but it is due to them being pure devotee of Bhagawan that they are addressed like that.
All living entities like demigods, humans animals plants birds etc belong to Jiva tattva. Lord Shiva belongs to Shambhu tattva.  Lord Vishnu and all incarnations like Rama, Varaha etc belong to Vishnu tattva. Lord Sri Krishna belongs to Krishna tattva.

In kaliyuga it is very easy to exaggerate everything and everyone to one extreme or another. As calling them god or calling them useless. But only a learned person seeks to understand everything in the true perspective from the real tattva point of view. Reality is what it is. We have to understand it based on shastra. We cannot speculate or guess what reality is. We have to understand it.
