Below are the translation of Bg 7.24 of different spiritual leaders. Why are they so different and what does this line actually mean
अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं मन्यन्ते मामबुद्धय: ।
परं भावमजानन्तो ममाव्ययमनुत्तमम् ॥ २४ ॥
Srila Prabhupada translation-:
Unintelligent men, who do not know Me perfectly, think that I, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, was impersonal before and have now assumed this personality. Due to their small knowledge, they do not know My higher nature, which is imperishable and supreme.
Sri Adi Shankaracharya translation-:
Abuddhayah, the unintelligent, the non-discriminating ones; ajanantah, unaware; mama, of mine; param, supreme; bhavam, state, my reality as the supreme self; which is avyayam, immutable, undecaying; and anuttanam, unsurpassable; think, think; mam, of me; as avyaktam, the unmanifest, the invisible; apannam, that has become; vyaktim, manifest, visible, at present [At present, after being embodied as an Incarnation.]-though I am the ever well-known God. They think so because they are unaware of my reality. This is the idea. What is the reason for their ignorance? This is being stated
Swami Sivananda translation-:
7.24 The foolish think of Me, the Unmanifest, as having manifestation, knowing not My higher, immutable and most excellent nature.

Why are they so different ?
Because there are various categories and types of ignorant people in the material world. There is only one correct answer for 2+3=?. But the number of wrong answers are infinite.
Sri Adi Shankaracharya translation-:
I am quite sure that this is not the original translation given by Sri Adi Shankaracarya.
Swami Sivananda translation-: 7.24 The foolish think of Me, the Unmanifest, as having manifestation, knowing not My higher, immutable and most excellent nature.
This probably is the most incorrect translation possible. This is quite the exact opposite of what lord Sri Krsna is saying. This is equivalent of saying 2+3 = -5.
what does this line actually mean ?
This shloka is straight forward to understand.
The word to word translation given by Srila Prabhupada is as follows
avyaktam — nonmanifested; vyaktim — personality; āpannam — achieved; manyante — think; mām — Me; abuddhayaḥ — less intelligent persons; param — supreme; bhāvam — existence; ajānantaḥ — without knowing; mama — My; avyayam — imperishable; anuttamam — the finest.
अव्यक्तं व्यक्तिमापन्नं - The unmanifest (avyaktam ) has become (āpannam ) a personality(vyaktim )
मन्यन्ते - think or believe so
abuddhayaḥ - Unintelligent
The first line translates to - The unmanifest has become a personality - such is the belief of unintelligent persons.
One may ask - Why do these unintelligent persons have such beliefs ? - This is answered in the second line of the shloka.
परं भावम - Supreme/ higher nature / manifestation
अजानन्तो - Not knowing
मम - My
अव्ययम् - imperishable
अनुत्तमम् - Topmost
The translation of the second line is - They do not know My supreme/higher nature , which is Imperishable and topmost.

This translation is of Sri Adi Shankaracharya only and is it true that he was actually referring to Lord Shiva here as he believed that Lord Shiva is superior Nirguna Brahma whereas Lord Vishnu was Saguna Brahma and he rejected all Vaishnav agamas as he considered Lord Shiva to be above all. Are all these true
Pls satisfy my curiosity

This translation is of Sri Adi Shankaracharya only
That is impossible because english language had not yet arrived in India during the life of Sri Adi Shankaracarya.
Is it true that he was actually referring to Lord Shiva
Shloka 7.24 of Srimad Bhagavad Gita was recited by Lord Sri Krsna and it doe snot refer to Lord Shiva.
Lord Shiva is superior Nirguna Brahma whereas Lord Vishnu was Saguna Brahma
These are incorrect poisonous inauspicuous filthy impersonalistic mayavavada ideas which are to be considered abonimable for civilized humans. Such ideas are propagated by envious bogus mayavadis who are the greatest offenders of Sri Krsna. In Bhagavad Gita Lord Sri Krsna refers to them as Diskritanah and more specifically as māyayāpahṛta-jñānā or whose knowledge is stolen by illusion. These rascals are to be shunned and such mayavada ideas are extremely dangerous. If someone is curious about such bogus, dangerous and filthy philisophies then they have no place in these forums. The better search for such filth elsewhere.

I am sorry for any mistake I have committed I was just curious to know this as Srila Prabhupada glorified Sri Adi Shankaracharya who rejected all Vaishnav agamas.

To satisfy your curiosity please read who is Adi Sankaracarya, what is his mission and what is his inner bhava. His Prabodha sudhakara, esp. its last several chapters, is a helpful book in this effort.
