Hare Krishna!!!

Dandwat Pranam, PAMHOM AGTSP.

There's a lot od debate on the BG publisged by ISKCON & Sri Sampadaya (Sri Ramanujacharya).

e.g. Karma is reffered as Bhakti, while as the the other BG's refer Karma as Karma only.

Kindly throw some light over here to clear the doubts.

In the Bhagavad-gita, different paths of yoga are indeed discussed, including karma-yoga, jnana-yoga, and bhakti-yoga. It is important to understand that these paths are not contradictory but rather complementary to each other.

Karma-yoga refers to performing one's work selflessly for the pleasure of God, without any selfish desires for personal gain. Jnana-yoga involves the cultivation of philosophical knowledge to elevate oneself to spiritual consciousness. Bhakti-yoga, on the other hand, is the path of selfless, ecstatic, devotional love for God, Krishna.

While karma-yoga and jnana-yoga are distinct paths, they can also lead to bhakti-yoga. In other words, by performing selfless actions and cultivating knowledge, one can eventually develop a loving relationship with God.

Regarding the different interpretations or commentaries on the Bhagavad-gita by different organizations or acharyas, it is natural to have varying perspectives. However, it is essential to approach these debates with an open mind and a sincere desire for understanding.

As a devotee, it is important to focus on the core teachings of the Bhagavad-gita, which emphasize the importance of surrendering to God, developing a loving relationship with Him, and engaging in devotional service. By following the instructions of Srila Prabhupada and the Vedic scriptures, one can attain spiritual perfection and realize the ultimate truth.

It is always beneficial to study the original scriptures and the commentaries of realized spiritual masters to gain a comprehensive understanding of the teachings. Ultimately, it is one's personal journey of seeking the truth and deepening their relationship with God that matters the most.

  • Which verse and chapter are you referring to? Here is a site where the whole Bhagavad-gita with comments on 4 Vaishnava sampradayas: http://www.bhagavad-gita.org/Gita/chapter-03.html

But it is better of course to read ISKCON literature. Here advises Bhakti Vigyan Goswami Maharaj:
It is my pleasure to refer you to Sripad Shivarama Swami's brilliant book Bhaktivedanta Purports. Perfect Explanation of the Bhagavad-gita”, where the author proves in great detail, on three hundred pages, that Srila Prabhupada’s commentary and translation is, in fact, the only way to understand the Gita in its entirety, in its entirety.
