  • Hare Krishna,

I like Bharat prabhu's reply. This is complete in itself.

Krishna has no wants or desires. Krishna is complete.

wants and desires are for conditioned souls.

But Krishna is very merciful to all beings. He simply satifies the wants and desires araising in us.

    Hare Krishna

    Hare Krsna

There are two perspectives : One is from tattva point of view and another from Rasa point if view

From tattva point of view Krsna is self satisfied and he doesn't have any unfulfilled independent desire of His own since His energies simultaneously and automatically perform everything as intended by Him.

    parāsya śaktir vividhaiva śrūyate
    svābhāvikī jñāna-bala-kriyā ca

His potencies are multifarious, and thus His deeds are automatically performed as a natural sequence.” (Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣad 6.7–8)

Further Sri Krsna also states this in Bhagavad Gita that there is nothing that He wants

    na me pārthāsti kartavyaṁ
    triṣu lokeṣu kiñcana
    nānavāptam avāptavyaṁ
    varta eva ca karmaṇi

O son of Pṛthā, there is no work prescribed for Me within all the three planetary systems. Nor am I in want of anything, nor have I a need to obtain anything – and yet I am engaged in prescribed duties.

Having said that Sri Krsna also says that He always reciprocates with living entities as they approach him

    ye yathā māṁ prapadyante
    tāṁs tathaiva bhajāmy aham
    mama vartmānuvartante
    manuṣyāḥ pārtha sarvaśaḥ

As all surrender unto Me, I reward them accordingly. Everyone follows My path in all respects, O son of Pṛthā. ( BG 4.11)

In line with this, when a devotee favorably serves Sri Krsna, the lord also reciprocates with the devotee.

    samo ’haṁ sarva-bhūteṣu
na me dveṣyo ’sti na priyaḥ
    ye bhajanti tu māṁ bhaktyā
    mayi te teṣu cāpy aham

I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him. (BG 9.28)

So pure devotees lovingly serve Sri Krsna and Sri Krsna always reciprocate with them. Example : Sudhama offered chipped rice to Sri Krsna with pure love, So Sri Krsna built mansions for Sudhama out of love. The magnitude of offering may be different but the quality of love is the same. Another example is that Srila Prabhupada took so much effort to spread the glories of Sri Krsna in such sinful places where they had not even heard the name of Krsna. So lord Krsna was overwhelmed by this love expressed by His devotee that the lord gave such unimaginable success to Srila Prabhupada and glorified Srila Prabhupada for many many centuries to come.

This brings us to the main question - Does Krishna have any desire or what are his wants?

Sri Krsna has only one desire to reciprocate with the love of His pure devotees and to fulfill their desire, which the lord Himself states as below

    śrī-bhagavān uvāca
    ahaṁ bhakta-parādhīno
    hy asvatantra iva dvija
    sādhubhir grasta-hṛdayo
    bhaktair bhakta-jana-priyaḥ
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said to the brāhmaṇa: I am completely under the control of My devotees. Indeed, I am not at all independent. Because My devotees are completely devoid of material desires, I sit only within the cores of their hearts. What to speak of My devotee, even those who are devotees of My devotee are very dear to Me. ( SB 9.4.63)

Sri Krsna performs wonderful pastimes in Gokul, Vrindavan of stealing butter, playing flute, milking cows etc all in reciprocation with the desires of His devotees. The devotees of Vraja can control Sri Krsna and make him do anything. If gopis want Krsna to dance, then Sri Krsna accepts it as His desire and He dances. So Sri Krsna's desire is to fulfill all of His devotees desire.
All the pastimes of Krsna dancing with gopis etc are all the desires of the devotees of which Sri Krsna fulfills according to the rasa.
