I think you can give it a shot. I dont think it has been tried before.
Some may buy the books, some may dance to the mahamantra (everybody is in festive mood and dancing in the stadiums, I have visited once, I saw). But be prepared for criticism - Indians are very prone to criticise, they will always find fault in what others are doing. Therefore sincere, firmed up senior devotees should go, not neophytes who end up getting interested in the match and trying to find out the score.
There is no bar to book distribtion, it can even be done in a night club - your intentions have to be right. had seen a video 2-3 years ago, in a convention in Mayapur, about a Harinam nightclub somewhere in Europe. There the devotees decided that the youth likes to dance, so they had arranged for a nightclub in which tilak was applied on whoever entered, sarees and dhotis available with volunteers for putting them on for those interested, bite sized prasadam was being served on toothpicks and everyone was dancing to western tunes of mahamantra. As long as we want to preach, and our intentions are clear, we can go ahead.

Exactly we r not buisnessman who could sell books by hook or crook to anyone for profit!!The shstras have repeatdly guided us that the holy books should only be given to those who even have a slight honest respect and desire to progress in god's path not to anyone with hope that they would understand it.
It will create wrong image of hare krishna movement which should not be done at any cost.
In Florida, USA, we go to the football stadiums and do Harinam. We pass out free information about Krishna Consciousness and information about our local Temple. Some of them will dance with us and will sing "Hare Krishna" with us. They are having fun with us and are getting spiritual benefit by hearing the Holy Names.
