If the Lord was answerable to us concerning why He does something and why He does not, won't His supremacy be curtailed?

The Lord is not our order carrier; whatever He likes He will do. Therefore He is the Supreme Lord. The Lord does not create this material world at any one's request, and therefore He can annhilate everything merely by His will. That is His supremacy. If one argues, " Why does He act in this way? " the answer is that He can do so because He is supreme. No one can question His activities. If one argues, " What is the purpose of this sinful creation and annhilation? " the answer is that to prove His omnipotence He can do anything, and no one can question Him.

  • Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Indeed, the Lord’s birth (janma) and activities (karma) are divine (divyam), as He Himself declares in the Bhagavad-gītā (4.9):

"janma karma ca me divyam evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma naiti mām eti so ’rjuna"

"One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna."

Śrī Kṛṣṇa Himself declares in the Bhagavad-gītā (9.12):

"Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature as the Supreme Lord of all that be."

This verse underscores that the Lord’s actions are beyond the grasp of mundane logic. His creation, maintenance, and dissolution of the material world are not subject to human moral or intellectual scrutiny. If He chooses to manifest or withdraw His energies, it is solely to exhibit His omnipotence (aiśvarya) and to facilitate the conditioned souls’ journey back to Him.

The Supreme Lord is not bound by any rules or regulations, nor is He answerable to anyone. Whatever He does is inherently righteous, for He is the very source of dharma.

This is the assurance of the Supreme Lord—His every action is eternally perfect, full of knowledge and bliss. He is not bound by material laws, nor does He act out of ignorance or malice. Rather, His divine pastimes are manifestations of His infinite love and wisdom.

As devotees, we must have unwavering faith (śraddhā) that Śrī Kṛṣṇa never does anything that is ultimately harmful to us. Even when His actions appear incomprehensible or severe, they are always for our highest good—whether to deliver the faithful, to rectify the wayward, or to uphold cosmic order.

The Lord’s mercy is sometimes hidden in what seems like hardship, just as a physician’s bitter medicine brings true healing.

Therefore, let us trust in Him completely, knowing that He cares for us more than we can ever comprehend. Our part is to surrender, to love Him without reservation, and to see every circumstance—whether joyful or challenging—as an expression of His divine will.

Śrī Kṛṣṇa is our most compassionate well-wisher. He is our eternal protector. And His divine play is always, without exception, for our ultimate liberation and bliss.

    Hari Bol! 🙏
