Hare Krsna

There are many saintly persons who are interested only in their deliverance. Therefore, they go into seclusion or the Himalyas or practice mauna-vrata, vow of silence not caring for the big cities and towns. They are not interested in delivering others. They maybe eligible for liberation themselves, but a pure devotee, not caring for his own liberation is always engaged in preaching the glories of the Lord.

Although being silent, observing austerities and penances, learning the Vedic literature, undergoing ritualistic ceremonies, living in a solitary place and performing japa and transcendental meditation are approved means of liberation, they are meant for nondevotees or for cheaters who want to live at the expense of others. A pure devotee, however, being freed from all such deceptive activities, is able to see the Lord face to face.

  • Hare Kṛṣṇa.

"kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati" (Bhagavad-gītā 9.31)—is one of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s most reassuring promises to His devotees. He declares, "O son of Kuntī, declare it boldly: My devotee never perishes!"

Kṛṣṇa does not say His devotee will never face difficulties or even hellish circumstances. Rather, He guarantees that a true bhakta never truly "perishes", it means their spiritual progress is never destroyed. Even if a devotee temporarily falls into adversity (or even a hellish situation) due to past karma, Kṛṣṇa protects their devotion and ensures they return to him.

A sincere Kṛṣṇa conscious soul does not derive happiness from material conditions (heaven or hell) but from remembering and serving Kṛṣṇa. Just as Prahlāda Mahārāja remained blissful in the midst of torture, a true bhakta’s joy comes from bhakti, not external circumstances. A devotee knows his true destination.

"For those who have accepted the boat of the lotus feet of the Lord, who is the shelter of the cosmic manifestation and is famous as Murāri, the enemy of the Mura demon, the ocean of the material world is like the water contained in a calf’s hoof-print. Their goal is paraṁ padam, Vaikuṇṭha, the place where there are no material miseries, not the place where there is danger at every step."

Thus, even in suffering, a devotee feels Kṛṣṇa’s presence and remains joyful. Pure devotees do not seek personal liberation but work to deliver others. A Kṛṣṇa conscious soul may undergo material reactions, but because their heart is fixed in devotion, they never truly "fall" or lose their connection with the Lord. Their happiness is unshakable because it comes from love of God, not temporary situations. Hari Hari.

" devotee never perishes means their spiritual progress in not destroyed. "

" a Krsna conscious person does not derive happiness from material conditions but from remembering and serving Krsna "

" because their heart is fixed in devotion, they never truly " fall " or loose their connection with the Lord. "
