Christianity lays emphasis on repentance for the sins.
Bhagvad gita saya karma cannot be wiped off. Karma has to be faced suffered. Sincere repentance has no place in our philosophy? If yes then give me any instance from the pastimes of devotees lives or sacred textbooks where sincere repentance burned the sin. Thank you. I appreciate your reply. pamho. haribol

DOCTRINE OF REINCARNATION AND LAW OF KARMA ARE SACROSANCT, ETERNAL AND UNIVERSAL
For conditioned souls yes, Not for ABSOLUTE Supreme Personality of Godhead who is the law maker for the world. Sri Krsna is ABSOLUTE meaning above everything else.
This is give in the first verse of Srimad Bhagavatam
janmādy asya yato ’nvayād itarataś cārtheṣv abhijñaḥ svarāṭ (SB 1.1.1)
Svaraat means fully independent.
All modes of material nature, Law of karma etc. Lord Sri Krsna does not under go reincarnation as conditioned living entities take birth.
janma karma ca me divyam
evaṁ yo vetti tattvataḥ
tyaktvā dehaṁ punar janma
naiti mām eti so ’rjuna
One who knows the transcendental nature of My appearance and activities does not, upon leaving the body, take his birth again in this material world, but attains My eternal abode, O Arjuna. (Bg 4.9)
Appearance, disappearance & pastimes of Sri Krsna are transcendental. They are distinct from the birth, death and karma of conditioned living entities. Considering the appearance, pastimes of Krsna to be on same level as conditioned living beings will beg the question what is distinction between ordinary living beings & Sri Krsna. Please don't bother answering it because in all likelihood it will be incorrect.
LAW OF KARMA
law of Karma acts under the material nature. Sri Krsna is the master of the material nature.
mayādhyakṣeṇa prakṛtiḥ
sūyate sa-carācaram
hetunānena kaunteya
jagad viparivartate
This material nature, which is one of My energies, is working under My direction, O son of Kuntī, producing all moving and nonmoving beings. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again. (Bg 9.10)
Sri Krsna is the master of the laws. He is not bound by the laws.
Even Lord Rama’s father king Dashratha couldn’t escape his destined death

Regarding all pastimes of Krsna & Rama cited above - All these are pastimes of Supreme Absolute truth, that appear like activities of ordinary people. But they are not as said by Sri Krsna

Regarding Reincarnation - Nobody is challenging the phenomenon of reincarnation. It is well known. But what people don;t know is that Supreme personality of Godhead is not bound by laws of karma to reincarnate. He does it out of His own sweet will. As said in BG 4.9
Regarding suffering of other like Bhishma, Dashrath, curses etc. - Nobody is challenging law of karma. Law of karma is not applicable to Sri Krsna. It is applicable on conditioned souls.
Sri Krsna is absolute personality of godhead above all the laws of janma & karma.

Many points have been made. Some are not accurate.
Now I do believe that complete surrender and repetance can burn a sin but not COMPLETELY. Bharat prabhuji has given nice example of King Parikshit. Who paid for his Karma in this material realm
It does not matter what anyone believes. What matters is what the truth is as revealed in the shastras. It was never mentioned that King Parikshit paid for his karma. In the purport given above Srila Prabhupada gives this - Such repentance is natural for a good man like the King, and such repentance delivers a devotee from all kinds of sins accidentally committed.
By his repentance itself Parikshit Maharaj was freed from the faulty act. Parikshit Maharaj welcomed the curse. He did not suffer or pay for his karma because being a pure devotee he cleared the reaction to faulty act by repentance. Instead Parikshit Maharaj took the opportunity to be instrumental in the advent of Srimad Bhagavatam and personally left the planet. Hence saying that Parikshit Maharaj paid for his Karma in this material realm would be incorrect.
Vedas do say that karma cannot be escaped, not even by God himself if he chose to take up a material form.
Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna is not bound by any Karma. He is ever liberated. Whether He is in material realm or in spiritual realm Karma cannot touch Him. Externally it may appear that He is undergoing reactions due to past activities. Like for example Sri Rama & Sri Parasurama performed atonement after killing demoniac persons. But they themselves chose to do this to set example for common people & not because they wanted to be freed from Karma. It is due to illusory energy that people come to such conclusions that God is bound by Karma. Supreme Personality of Godhead is not bound by any karma. Sri Krsna clearly indicates this in BG as below
na māṁ karmāṇi limpanti
na me karma-phale spṛhā
iti māṁ yo ’bhijānāti
karmabhir na sa badhyate
There is no work that affects Me; nor do I aspire for the fruits of action. One who understands this truth about Me also does not become entangled in the fruitive reactions of work.(BG 4.14)
Sri Krsna clearly says karma does not affect Him. That is the supreme position of Sri Krsna.

If repentance alone burns the sins then I do daily mistakes and will repent for it whole night. If repentance was only enough then there would not have been any repeated births and deaths.
There are different types of sins.. 1. sins done with hands and legs. 2. sins done with mouth 3. sins done with mind. 4. sins done with money or for money.
and there are another type of sins called Mahapatakas. they are 5 pancha mahapatakas.. five worst sins.
The sins committed thru hands and legs.. can be atoned by doing Seva to cows, humans, sick people and going on a pilgimage.
sins commited thru mouth ( like telling lies, giving false witness etc) can be atoned by chanting the holy name of Lord.
sins commited by mind ( thinking bad of others) can be atoned by smarnam ( constantly thinking and keeping Lord in the heart and never forgetting Him). of Lords' pastimes.
Sins committed with money or for money...have to be countered by charity.
Pancha mahapatakas can be countered by doing ekadashi vrats.
As Lord said .. sarva-dharman parityajya
mam ekam saranam vraja
aham tvam sarva-papebhyo
moksayisyami ma sucah
Traslation- Abandon all varieties of religion and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.
But still,... for those who cannot repent ( SURRENDER TO LORD) or do any austerities ( vrats). if they committed any of these above pancha mahapatakas , surely in Garuda Purana there are many varieties of hell's which they might have to visit and also take rebirth to atone to the sins and counter your karma. Karma once done has to be paid off,1. be it suffering in hell or 2. taking rebirths or 3. directly or indirectly paying off for ur karmas 4. performing severe austerities like vrats to please the Supreme Personality of Godhead. 5. OR BY SURRENDERING TO LORD.
Only surrendering to Supreme personality of Godhead ( Sri Krishna) any type of sins can be wiped off.
Yes, Simply repenting and committing the sin again and again wont help. Right Knowledge, Right attitude, Strong will power and complete surrender to Lord can only wipe off the sins from its seeds.
Chanting the holy name of Lord and complete surrender with repentance for you deeds is must.
As Bharat Prabhu ji gave an excellent example of Parikshit Maharaj he repented for his sins while realizing the greatness of Supreme Personality of Godhead and completely surrendering to Lord could completely come out of this cycle of births and deaths.
That is why there is a term in our philosophy-- Papa Parihara.
Example.. was Ahalya and Indra did commit adultery and Ahalaya was turned into a stone. Until was touched by Lord Rama's feet couldn't become pure again.
There are so many examples in our philosophy ...they have repaid for the sins by surrendering to Supreme personality of Godhead only.!!!!

Very true. Repentance is like atonement. Parikshit maharaj himself asks, what is use of atonement if inclination to commit sin is not completely removed. For devotee repentance is natural after committing a mistake. But repentance / atonement in itself as a process is not sufficient to be free from sinful life.
Sometimes one who is very alert so as not to commit sinful acts is victimized by sinful life again. I therefore consider this process of repeated sinning and atoning to be useless. It is like the bathing of an elephant, for an elephant cleanses itself by taking a full bath, but then throws dust over its head and body as soon as it returns to the land. (SB 6.1.10)
To this Srila Shukadeva Gosvami replies that pure devotional service is the only solution.
Only a rare person who has adopted complete, unalloyed devotional service to Kṛṣṇa can uproot the weeds of sinful actions with no possibility that they will revive. He can do this simply by discharging devotional service, just as the sun can immediately dissipate fog by its rays. (SB 6.1.15)

Parikshit Maharaj committed a mistake of putting a dead snake around the neck of a sage. he repented for his mistake and burnt the sins.
