BG 18.62 - The most confusing verse

O scion of Bharata, surrender unto Him utterly. By His grace you will attain transcendental peace and the supreme and eternal abode.

After showing his universal form and after telling all about his opulences, infact from chapter 9 to 18.61 the Lord only says I and Me and then suddenly in this verse he points to someone else. Why did he say like that and give a chance to others to prove that their god is supreme? Why did he create such confusions??

                  • hmm. Okay. but how can anyone question Lord Krishna? Leave about me.

you are really great then only you can question Lord's words is it not?

Why ask us. You must ask  Mr. Krishna perhaps.

Lord will reciprocate maybe. If he does. Humko bhi batao bola maine bas.

                    Asabhya kahan se hua?

You are really unique because you can question Lord. We have no confusion and we are not so great so we cannot have this type of question also.

                    You are really unique.laughing

                    • Tere reply par 🤣🤣. Bahanji you are really unique rehne do. Agar pehle pata hota to sans gayatri likta question par🤣

Anyways HDG has advised that we should not quarrel like cats and dogs. Can we stop 😊

                  • but I still disagree with him - so you disagree with srila Prabhupada also now ! 😁

Your commentary on BG would be interesting to read!😁

Mataji very simply explained that krsna meant to surrender unto the supersoul which is krsna himself. Even in the starting of BG krsna many times used "he" of "lord" , that didn't create any confusion to you?

We may sometimes say "oh, akshit shall do this. Akshit you shouldn't do that" . This tendency is in  humans, but where does it comes from? Since everything originates from Krishna it means that this tendency MUST also be in krsna. Thus it is very normal , also srila Prabhupada very simply explained these verses in his PURPORTS only so that people of less intelligence (like us, everyone is kaliyuga) can understand them.

Sati pratha / animal sacrifices are very explicitly mentioned to be not for kaliyuga YET men in the world were engaged in such hedious things . Hideous because there were some without Vedic authority. Forcibly burning women and killing innocent animal even though being denied to, was act of so called "high birth men".

Upon being asked "swami ji we have heard that women have less brain than men" srila Prabhupada replied "I don't know about others but the women here in temple certainly have more brain than others, as they are engaged in Krishna consciousness".

So don't try to use words of srila Prabhupada with your personal motivation. 😁

                    • If you know I will avoid it why not just state it here sir?

                    • Oh now you don't even remember the recently asked question. Just go through our reply to each other you will get it but you again avoid it I know

See your example itself was wrong, mismatch and you are very young. As you grow up you will understand the question

                    • Hare Krishna

I would like to know what was the "uncomfortable question"

Regarding your example I will annoying tell you aray Sir bolne ka na aaphe ho - these are crude examples not literal. When krishna tells you there is a supersoul within your heart and you shall surrender unto HIM. and he himself tells Arjun in the end of chapter 10 text 42, that he is the fragmental part sustaining everything, and in BG 10.20 that HE IS THE SUPERSOUL. then it is clearly understood that he is talking about himself.

as I stated earlier, in the beginning of BG krishna many times used "he" "him" and "lord" how come you were not confused then. We can understand even after these expressions that he is talking about himself.

                    • Bro Akshit avoided avoided my uncomfortable question 🤣🤣.

Yes definitely HDG would have banned her.

Regarding your example I will annoying tell you aray Sir bolne ka na aaphe ho. Itni badi ram kahani kyon sunai 🤣 and infact I will get an impression that there's something wrong with you ( no offences ok🙏) and look for someone else

                    • So you know what srila Prabhupada would do? My god , how intimately you know him. You must have been srila Prabhupada's very intimate disciple/friend/someone.

Now Take this example. You come to me to learn chess. I say I am a pretty good chess player. I am an international master. Many students have won competitions taking my guidance. My fees are also affordable. Behold my trophies which I have won from several competitions. See my college school certificates I have always topped and then I say

So you go to him only. By his grace only you will become a great chess player. Now will you be confused or not?

let us take this example indeed.

If you come to me and you don't know that I am GM in chess, you may have to ask "I want to learn chess whom should I approach for training?".

I CAN in its answer tell you about the glory of a great chess master (me) and tell you "oh you shall go to someone who can guide you, who is very good at playing, who is number one chess player of our region (a distinctive quality to signify the position)"

Then you may understand that I am talking about me from the description and..

Then when I tell you "you must learn from him" . You understand that I am talking about ME

                    • Sevak

                      Hare Krsna

Now will you be confused or not?

If someone is confused, nothing wrong in saying they are confused. Nothing wrong in seeking clarification.

No need to say so and so is creating confusion in me. Especially when THAT PERSON did not !

                      Hare Krsna

                    • Yes I disagree because my mother is an intelligent woman. My cousin sisters ar intelligent. What about yours?? Do answer this ok don't avoid 😁 and that middle part I don't know why you wrote that.

HDG has not written anything on women in purport so with an unbiased mind kindly read it again!

HDG means that the women in temple during that time when he was present were intelligent. It doesn't prove that a woman who joins iskcon becomes intelligent. Had He read these arrogant and uncivilized comments of your mataji he would have banned her from idt atleast if not temple. I did not even reply to her last answer also
