Achintya-Bheda-Abheda philosphy

Hare Krishna devotees,

I am trying to understand Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's teachings of  Achintya-Bheda-Abheda with my little mind. Can somebody explain me about that with examples and with comparison to other doctrines given by other saints including Mayavadi gurus?

Thanks in advance in anticipation of getting many replies.

  • All glories to Sri Radha Raman Lal and Sadguru maharaj.
अचिंत्य भेदाभेद is gaudiya philosophy by Sripada mahaprabhuji acc to philosophy wheather their bheda or abheda cannot be thought by limited brain that is why it is अचिंत्य also acc to Sadguru dev's explanation philosophy says for example tides are not water but without water tides don't have any existance , rose plant hands over both thorns and flowers which is surprising to know. Same way Lord and lords divine शक्ति is achintya that is cannot be explained
  • We all know that jiva, as a parcell of Lord, has same quality but different quantity,

but attribute "small"  is incorrectly added.

Lord is unlimited and transcendental, therefore soul is also transcendental and unlimited.

The parcell from something unlimited is always unlimited.

Material duality such as small or big cant fit into something transcendental and unlimited.

Human intelligence, mind and words often try to put Lord and jiva into material squares of understanding,

therefore they are often far away from the real truth.

Very often, philosophical neophytes  cant accept impersonal Brahman as aspect of God,

and because of that, being envious, consider materialistic sinful karmis better then Brahman impersonalists.

Jiva have same nature as the Lord and only because of that He is naturally attracted to all living beings.

Jiva or soul is unlimited transcendental Brahman :

SB 7.12.31When all the material designations have thus merged into their respective material elements, the living beings, who are all ultimately completely spiritual, being one in quality with the Supreme Being, should cease from material existence, as flames cease when the wood in which they are burning is consumed. When the material body is returned to its various material elements, only the spiritual being remains. This spiritual being is Brahman and is equal in quality with Parabrahman.
    .
    .
Jiva is unlimited Brahman, but Lord is source of that Brahman and its called Parabrahman or sometimes also Brahman, with the point of the same nature between them. All original Vyasa scriptures talks about that.

    Somebody can ask:

"Ok , If the Jiva is unlimited Brahman, isnt it true that that unlimited Brahman is also cause of all causes"
The answer is yes, thats true , because of the equal transcendental nature  :
    .
SB 7.7.17Prahlāda Mahārāja continued: My dear friends, if you can place your faith in my words, simply by that faith you can also understand transcendental knowledge, just like me, although you are small children. Similarly, a woman can also understand transcendental knowledge and know what is spirit and what is matter.
SB 7.7.18Just as the fruits and flowers of a tree in due course of time undergo six changes — birth, existence, growth, transformation, dwindling and then death — the material body, which is obtained by the spirit soul under different circumstances, undergoes similar changes. However, there are no such changes for the spirit soul.
SB 7.7.19-20“Ātmā” refers to the Supreme Lord or the living entities.* Both of them are spiritual, free from birth and death, free from deterioration and free from material contamination. They are individual, they are the knowers of the external body, and they are the foundation or shelter of everything. They are free from material change, they are self-illuminated, they are the cause of all causes, and they are all-pervading. They have nothing to do with the material body, and therefore they are always uncovered. With these transcendental qualities, one who is actually learned must give up the illusory conception of life, in which one thinks, “I am this material body, and everything in relationship with this body is mine.”
    .
(Here we can clearly conclude that Sri Prahlada was talking about living entities, not about Lord.)*
    .
    Somebody can ask:
"Ok, i know now im the equal as the Lord in quality, but how im different in quantity and still unlimited as Lord ?"
    .
Lets imagine that we have unlimited ocean where every drop of that ocean is also unlimited.
Sometimes drops are visible when wind blow and soon as they fall back in the  ocean they become again invisible.
Similar to that, every conditioned jiva in material world are visible, and on the end of universe they become unvisible by "resting" in their source, Lords transcendental body.
When Lord start to create again material universe, jivas become visible again.
    .
So, philosophy of acintya bheda abheda, at the same time different and equal, should be understood in this way.

  • Hare Krishna Rashmi Khaitan Mataji,

Did Chaitanya Mahaprabhu teach Achintya-Bheda-Abheda philosophy.

My gurudeva taught me Krishna has form and is personnel. How can he be both form and formless.

    Haribol,
    S.Balaji.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Achintya Bhedabhed philosophy - apart from what has been explained, means - there is always a dispute about whether the Supreme Lord is nirakar or saakar - whether He is formless or with form. THis philosophy says He is both - formless and with form. He is present in every living and non living entity as paramatma in the world, and He is present in His personal form in the spiritual worlds.

An example is of sun's rays and sun. Another example is of ghee in milk.

    Haribol,

    YOUr servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

    By Krsnaraja Melvin

The Conversation of Lord Krishna and Arjuna in Bhagavad-gita did not end there. It ended in Puri, the Conversation between Lord Chaitanya and Ramananda Raya. When Arjuna saw Krishna`s Universal form, the former was struck by thunderbolt. After the recovery, Arjuna again saw Krishna`s regular form. Same thing happened to Ramananda Raya when Lord Chaitanya split into Krishna and Radha, he was also struck by a thunderbolt, so to speak. But recovered when Ramananda Raya saw his Friend`s normal form as Lord Chaitanya.

This is what I have been telling everyone here in this forum. regarding my identity. I can manifest here as Krsnaraja Melvin or Drmelvin Mabalay. This is confirmed when I use my Facebook and Yahoo account. Kuver Bhakti alias melvin my Dog alias Sinful thought I was deceiving everyone here. No, I am not. Besides, I did not give a large donation to Iskcon Desire Tree so that I wont be disconnected as alleged by Kuver Bhakt alias melvin my Dog alias Sinful. Regarding Lord Balarama. I am not advocating a bogus concept as alleged by Satish Ketkar alias Kuver Bhakt alias melvin my Dog alias Sinful. When he posts here on-line, I can not see his name. I know his camouflage.

Satish Ketkar in fact wont forgive me even if I have said sorry to him in public. Making Peace with him. My humble apologies to my friend Radha Rasamayi. She gives me the inspiration to serve more and more Lord Krishna. I am very thankful for her appreciation. I am so grateful to her.

Om namo bhagavate vasudevaya sarvam iti mahatma sudarlabha, " I offer my humble respects to Sri Vasudeva, the Cause of all causes. May He be merciful to me. "

  • Teachings of Lord Chaitanya Chapter 32 CONCLUSION

Rāmānanda Rāya replied: “I request that You not try to hide Yourself. I understand that You have accepted the complexion and mode of thinking of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī and that You are trying to understand Yourself from the viewpoint of Rādhārāṇī. You have actually advented Yourself to take this point of view. Although You incarnate mainly to understand Your own self, You are at the same time distributing love of Kṛṣṇa to the world. Now You have personally come here to deliver me. Please don’t try to deceive me, I beg You. It is not good for You.”

    SIMULTANEOUSLY ONE AND YET DIFFERENT

Being very satisfied, Lord Caitanya smiled and showed Rāmānanda His real form as the combination of Śrī Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. Thus Lord Caitanya was Śrī Kṛṣṇa Himself with the external features of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī. His transcendental ability to become two and then to become one again was revealed to Rāmānanda Rāya. Those who are fortunate enough to understand Lord Caitanya as well as the Vṛndāvana pastimes of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa can be able, by the mercy of Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī, to know about the real identity of Śrī Kṛṣṇa Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

  • Hare Krishna!

Exactly Saubhagya Nayak Prabhu! We have all the qualities of Krishna, but not in the same quantity. Right now most of us, our qualities are covered by the 3 modes of material nature(goodness, passion and ignorance). But as we become purrified, we can see our ture selves more clearly and eventually realize our true nature, which is full of eternality, Knowledge and bliss.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada and his Awesome purports, which make everything clear as day.
  • Hare Krishna Prabhuji i congragulate u 4 asking a glorious question from where we can glorify Sri Gaurasundara.According 2 this philosophy a living being is simultaneously one and different from Supreme Lord Krsna being same in quality but different in quantity.A favorite example of Srila Prabhupada the Founder Acarya of ISKCON was that of ocean and a drop of ocean.A drop of ocean is salty just as the whole ocean thus it is qualitatively same as ocean but in quantity it is different one is infinitesimal other infinite.Just as goldmine and gold ring both are gold but different in quantity. Thus, according 2 Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu Lord Krsna is an individual person like us but He is the Supreme Person,He is infinite. And we souls r part and parcels of Krsna thus with qualities same as His but very minute in everything.
Like we souls r also very merciful but Krsna is an ocean of mercy.Mercy He has in infinite amounts.
Mayavadi scholars suffer from a Himalayan misconception. They don't accept the concept of a Supreme Person. They believe that everything is one, everything is God.The truth is formless without dualities. They say that world is false imaginary and brahma truth thus truth is abheda. They don't accept personality in truth thus they belive Krsna and demigods like Indra,Candra as imaginary.
And followers of Mahaprabhu don't accept material world imaginary they say it is true but temporary and another energy of God.
Thus, any intelligent person can understand that how cumbersome and fallible is mayavadi philosophy and how logical and rich is the philosophy of the Vedas. The Vedas speak of the same thing as Sri Caitanya.Caitanya Mahaprabhu's followers like the six Goswamis gave the complete explanation of Vedas thus we r eternally indebted 2 them.
I also ask u what Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu asked 2 chant the Hare Krishna maha mantra regularly. The Shastras, the great Acaryas all unanimously agree that the only path of religion of this age is chanting of the holy names of God.By properly chanting it u will one day learn everything philosophy, knowledge everything.Even in the beginning stages of chanting a chanter begins 2 know that he is not body.

2 learn high philosophy one needn't b a great scholar but needs 2 chant Krishna's names regularly with attention.Best of luck 4 ur spiritual progress.Jai Gauranga.Hare Krishna.
