Please consider these references for answering this question with respect to the advent of Internet in the 21st century as it has impacted the society in a big way. Communication has become a lot easier and less risky through mobile phones then it was in the 1970's.
According to Lord Krsna that man is certainly most miserable who takes care of
an unchaste wife. SB 11.11.19 Translation
An unchaste woman is very easily carried away by her paramours, and it sometimes happens her husband is violently killed by her paramours.
In this verse the word pumscali refers to a woman who is very easily carried away by men. Such a woman is never to be trusted. Unfortunately, in the present age woman are never controlled. If she is given freedom and allowed to mix unrestrictedly with men, she will be spoiled. A spoiled woman, being manipulated by her paramours, might even kill her husband. SB 5.6.4 Purport
Such cases are on the rise as we daily in the news. The solution that Srimad Bhagavatam gives is that woman should be strictly controlled by the father, husband or son respectively. But, in the modern era, it is not possible to exercise such control and moreover women are mixing unrestrictedly with men through messages, chats etc. on various apps.
In Satya-yuga, the regulations were so strict that Parasurama beheaded his mother on the order of his father for appreciating the beauty of a Gandharva. She didn't even send a like or message him as there were no mobile phones then...lol. So is reciprocating on Internet, action in words, deeds as compared to only mental appreciation done by Renuka, the mother of Parasuram for which she got the capital punishment?

A husband should be careful of an unchaste wife according to Srimad Bhagavatam 5.6.4. What is the relevance of this statement in modern times?
The relevance is in the rest of translation.
An unchaste woman is very easily carried away by paramours, and it sometimes happens that her husband is violently killed by her paramours. If the yogī gives his mind a chance and does not restrain it, his mind will give facility to enemies like lust, anger and greed, and they will doubtlessly kill the yogī. SB 5.6.4
The example of unchaste woman is given to advise that mind & senses are unchaste and need to be controlled by individual for spiritual development.
Such cases are on the rise as we daily in the news.

My dear King, although Kali-yuga is an ocean of faults, there is still one good quality about this age: Simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one can become free from material bondage and be promoted to the transcendental kingdom.(SB 12.3.51)
The imperfections of kali yuga were well known before we were born. We should focus on solutions namely Chanting of Krsna's names to be immune from these effects of Kali Yuga
The solution that Srimad Bhagavatam gives is that woman should be strictly controlled by the father, husband or son respectively.
Srimad Bhagavatam does mention restrictions for women. But Srimad Bhagavatam also mentions rules & regulations for men, kings, vaishyas, sannyasis etc. Many things are mentioned in Srimad Bhagavatam. But the main solution that Srimad Bhagavatam is of pure devotional service to Sri Krsna.
But, in the modern era, it is not possible to exercise such control
It is not expected by anyone that they implement such control.
women are mixing unrestrictedly with men through messages, chats etc. on various apps.
So how does that affect a person who is on the path of spiritual development ?
So is reciprocating on Internet, action in words, deeds as compared to only mental appreciation done by Renuka, the mother of Parasuram for which she got the capital punishment?
The focus in the incident of Parasurama should not be on the act or punishment. The focus should be on the result. Rishi Jamadagni observed contamination in consciousness of his religiously wedded wife. He instructed his son to perform an action. Sri Parasurama followed the instruction. Rishi Jamadagni was pleased and said Parasurama to ask for a boon. Parasurama asked his father Jamadagni to bring his mother & brothers back to life and to make them forget the whole incident. Rishi Jamadagni was extremely powerful anc did that. The result was Parasurama's mother was purified of the contamination.
In modern times is most people are NOT interested in purification of consciousness. Most people are only concerned - my wife, my daughter, my sister should not mix with other men because it will affect my sense gratification or reputation. This type of consciousness results in mandatory govt rules in top to bottom clothing with no skin visible. Meanwhile men go hunting to fulfill their lust. That is not the solution given by Srimad Bhagavatam. Srimad Bhagavatam first says control senses by engaging in service of Sri Krsna. That is the first step.
The problem in modern times is most people want to control others' actions. Politicians want to control public, Cmpanies want to control consumers, Bosses want to control employees. They want to control others for their sense gratification. Nobody wants to control their own mind/senses for Krsna consciousness or Krsna's pleasure. The only solution is Krsna consciousness. That is the message of Bhagavatam
A sin done only mentally does NOT bear the punishment as a sinful act actually committed by action in kali yuga.

. A spoiled woman, being manipulated by her paramours, might even kill her husband. SB 5.6.4 Purport
Hare Krishna,
Woman these days are watching movies. They are watching a hero and assuming in mind and enjoying in mind .. Mentally corrupted by even watching porn and stuff.
They are getting sins even without doing chats or messages also. Woman are falling down more than men in Kaliyuga.
It if they don't check this at mental level.. they may go and meet the man and sleep and then if the Paramous and she becomes SO INSANE And lost judgement. They will do harm to the husband by killing that person also.
Mental sins are common unavoidable in Kaliyuga.
woman going out meeting men at work place and then shaking hands with men .. ( in Satyuga times woman were not even allowed to meet a man leave about shaking hands with paraya mard.).
If they shake hands with a paraya mard they used to get married to that person. ( that is called Paani grahan). It is a type of marriage prevalent in Satyuga.
Is it possible to control them woman now a days to meet men at workplace and not to shake hands with them?
If the woman are watching movies and imagining the hero in their dreams and enjoying with the hero. Can we restrict?
Thats why in Kaliyuga only actions done-- are accountable.
In that case I meet people at my work place and shake hands with many men. That means I am vyabhicharini.
I touched the other man already many times.
Mental level pe check nahi kiya toh woh physical realtiy mein aagaya toh woh sin banega ki.
If the paramour and the lady both are insane they can even kill.
isse achha hai aajkal divorce le lete hai
Why paramour and killing husband. HAHAHA
No one wants to kill.. unless they are insane.
Indian govt. legalized it.
lol
India's top court has ruled adultery is no longer a crime, striking down a 158-year-old colonial-era law which it said treated women as male property. Previously any man who had sex with a married woman, without the permission of her husband, had committed a crime.
now a days in India after this rule.. I heard lot of ladies are going out and sleeping around freely with their paramours.
Nobody is planning to kill husbands for the sake of just casual sex itseems.
They are enjoying like animals in India just as as abroad.
Mental sins are far more better than doing it in physically and Indian govt. may not consider a sin. But surely Krishna will. If you kill a husband and abandon husband and leave the marriage. Aajkal toh men are enjoying prostituites and so are woman. I heard many stories as soon as Supreme court revokes that law.
LOl.
Parusharama is behead his mother in those days just because mother saw a gandharva perfoming sex with his partner... funny if Parushurama is there now.. he would behead all woman who are watching movies.
Hare Krsna Gayatri ji,
Thanks for boldly replying to the discussion. It is the intention behind every action, that accrues in the reaction to every activity. Somethings may become unavoidable at work place such as handshakes, messaging or attending phones. The intention behind such actions are taken into account, so they should be checked at the mental level as you have suggested.
Parasurama beheaded his mother at the order of his father. He didn't do it at his own discretion. If you remember the princess Amba chapter from the Mahabharat. Parasurama fought with Bhismadeva for the honour of this princess who had mentally committed herself to Shalya Kumar but was abducted by Bhismadeva for some other purpose. He is not a maniac who would go beheading women for little fault..lol
In every age there was a system in place to avoid unrestricted mixing of the sexes. Now, also it is needed. Can you say where we should draw the line especially where technological advancement is concerned? Such issues may not have been addressed before, so please reply by keeping in mind that you are representating all women here. Women are generally more pious than men, when Indra killed his Brahman Guru Visvarupa, then it was women who took one fourth reaction of the sin. By nature’s arrangement they have to give birth to children. So their responsibility is also greater. There has to be a curtain between sexes, some Purdah. What should be the considerations? If we don't define it, no one else will. Since, leadership has passed or will pass to unscrupulous men, who don't care for such principles, and like to spoil women. If we don't speak up now, then there is very little hope to bring about a transformation in society that is very much the need of the hour.

Hare Krishna,
Look at the chart and say where you want to keep the check points.
Why blame only woman?
Ajamila fell for a prostituite and he left his wife. he did after being with prostitute ( 4 regulative principles ) he lost.
Started to drink, eat non veg... intoxicants and did steal rob did murder also
This is absolute fall down. One who is falling the sure signs are He keeps falling falling and more falling down.
Only his past previous pious activites and Ajamila being a brahmin. Lord gave Him a second chace at the nick of time.
Krishna will protect His devotees at some point By holding their their collar and pulling back.
Bg. 9.31
कौन्तेय प्रतिजानीहि न मे भक्त: प्रणश्यति ॥ ३१ ॥
Ajamila fell down just by watching a shudra perform with his partner.
That is the mind got corrupted first by senses.
Mind then started to contemplate more and more on the objects of the senses.
Then Mind lost control.
Intellect become lost.
He loses judgement what is wrong and what is right.
When judgement is lost. he/she falls down to the level that they even go out and act it out to enjoy it in person.
They cannot restrict the mind anymore as intellect is bewildered.
Buddhi ( intellect) is the one who holds the reigns of the mind.
If that intellect is bewildered he loses the control on the mind and he/ she? becomes a slave to 5 senses and mind.
The checkpoints are:-- Movies. ( STOP WATCHING MOVIES)- First check point.
2. check point okay if you watch it also.. don't try to overly contemplate on the objects of senes.
3. third check point.. okay if you contemplate also.. don't let the mind shadow the intellect.
If three check points are crossed then the person can even go to a prostituite or a paramour and sleep around become a vyabhichar in no time he becomes a slave to his senses.
After that he feel.. ek sin toh kar hi liya.. ek sin karo ya 10-12 sins karo.. hell toh ek hi hai. kya farak padega type.
Hare Krsna Gayatri ji
The relevance of this discussion is within the confines of a marriage. How careful can a husband be? Srila Prabhupada was against free mixing and living together without marriage. He even went to the extent of getting his disciples married and faced criticism for this because he was also a sannyasi. That only shows how important this discussion is. I've posted a much simpler discussion: Should a woman get married if she cannot be faithful to her husband? Perhaps you may want to reply in more simplistic terms.

Call me Mata ji.
I am done. Can't answer ask someone else.
Bored of this topic.

I think you are a genius. Calling you Mataji will solve a lot of things to establish Purdah between us. Likewise everyone should do so with each other. Call each other Prabhu ji's and Mataji's. That will help to some extent although the population is getting so degraded that they are spoiling this sacred relation also in popular songs.

By Purdah here, I mean restricted association between the opposite sexes as in the Vedic society and not some social custom prevalent in Kali-yuga. It is well explained by Srila Prabhupada that even husband and wife were not allowed to mix unrestrictedly throughout the day. Perhaps, too much familiarity breeds contempt. So we should not doubt Vedic wisdom. You may forgive me for the choice of words. I beg your pardon.
