The festival includes parikramas to the pastime places of Krsna and the most loved boat festival ever. Adhivas is the day before Parikrama, where devotees go to Yogapith or birthplace of Lord Caitanya and make a vow (sankalpa) to perform the most auspicious Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama for the next seven days.
