If a soul is completely satisfied in the company of God in Vaikuntha, the spiritual world, how can he have an unsatisfied desire? Christchurch Quake Destroys Deities and Temple Beyond Repair

Sri-Sri Nitai-Gaurachandra of Christchurch before the Earthquake

ISKCON Devotees in Christchurch, New Zealand are still in shock after a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck on February 22nd, destroying their temple building and shattering the Deities of Nitai-Gaurachandra beyond repair. Incredibly, no one was seriously injured.

The disaster comes on the heels of a 7.1 magnitude quake in the same city on September 4

The impersonalists are full of duplicity. Sometimes they pretend to execute devotional service, but their ultimate idea is to become one with the Supreme. This is duplicity, kapata.

The Bhagavatam does not allow this duplicity.

There’s an alarming trend: People who have had some degree of good fortune and success tend to lose their humility and become at least slightly arrogant. This is very unfortunate for many reasons. Recently I read an article written by Satsvarupa Maharaja - he was asking himself the following questions.
