Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada

I'm pleased that you are doing things just to my satisfaction. Stick to this principle, and Krsna will bless you. Our line of action is not difficult: chanting sixteen rounds regularly, trying to follow the four restrictive principles, taking prasadam, reading the books, speaking, discussing about the subject matter of devotional service. This is the process.

Because you may die before disaster comes.......................Nectarean Mellows

If you’re on an aeroplane and they announce an emergency landing and you know that within minute it’s very likely that you will die; (then) it’s very unlikely that you’re going to put your earphones to listen to some Hindi bollywood songs. And probably you are not going to be falling asleep when you are chanting the holy names. Why can’t we chant like that all the

Thought Of The Day

So Krsna consciousness means to be rightly situated in the original consciousness that we are all sons of God, Krsna. We have got eternal relationship with Him and He is the richest, the most opulent. As a rich man's son has no scarcity, no want, everything is supplied amply... Just like the Americans, they are... American or many other Western countries, the young men, they belong to a rich nation, so practically they have no want. But still why they are becoming hopeless and confused? Because

Bharat Varsha

This year in India I had my most ecstatic time. First off, usually I don't distribute books in Mayapur during the festival, because there's so much going on. But upon seeing so many book distributors this year, I got inspired to distribute.

Interesting: there were so many devotees, so what I found was that I had to look for the people who didn't have beadbags and didn't wear dhotis and kurtas. They had to be wearing pants and shirt and no tilak.
It was pretty easy. I would just ask, " Do you like

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

In 1971 Srila Prabhupada lectured at a series of Krsna conscious festivals held in a huge pandal, or exhibition tent, in downtown Delhi, India. This is one lecture from that series.

Srila Prabhupada

According to our Vedic system, there are two kinds of religion. First we must try to understand what religion is. Religion refers to our constitutional position. Religion is different from

One truth ties all world religions together

The Aim of All Faiths

The Lord says that the purpose of all Vedic instruction is to achieve the highest goal of life, to go back to Godhead. The aim of any scripture of any country not only the Bhagavad-gita, but any scripture is simply to get us back to Godhead. That is the purpose. Take for example any of the great religious reformers, or acary

Thought Of The Day

Therefore we should try to give to Krsna, not to ask. Because He has given us everything without asking. Without asking. We go to temple or churches to ask for our daily bread, but the birds and beasts, they have no churches, no temples, they do not ask. But how do they get their bread? Therefore according to Srimad-Bhagavatam, there is no actually bread problem. The only problem is that we have forgotten our relationship with God. Whatever... What is the process of connecting to Krsna?.......................Nectarean Mellows

So the demigods were defeated by the demons just as every devotee will be defeated by Maya if we offend other Vaishnavas.  But now they had nothing, now they were under the rule of the asuras, they were helpless, like an elephant afflicted by forest fire. Indra was so big but helpless, it was beyond his powers. He comes to Brahma and Brahma preaches to them, why a

Children's Krsna Book

2514903620?profile=original

You will all be happy to know that BBT Bombay has reprinted these classic volumes of children's KRSNA Book and they are a very nice quality. For some unknown reason, some overintelligent person there introduced a few additions of unconnected pretty pictures, which can be easily corrected next printing. But the book still stands on its own as very endearing for our children growing up in Krishna consciousness. Because of ill health, I was unable to do it myself, and I am grateful for Gopal Krishn

Subway Saviors by Muralivadaka Dasa

Subway Saviors by Muralivadaka Dasa

Muralivadaka Dasa
At Christmastime these kids go underground to give the gift of love.

The screeching of the subway car announces our arrival at the next station. "Gentlemen, this is it!" I say, lifting a box of Back to Godhead magazines as I get up. The subway grinds to a halt, and seven young men surge toward the sliding doors. As we step onto the platform, a disembodied voice crackles: "Thirty-fourth Street-Harold Square Macy's. Have a nice holiday."

"Is this where we distribut

Thought Of The Day

So we should always remember this, that Krsna does not require our service, but if we give some service to Krsna, that is our benefit. This is the formula. Don't think that Krsna is very much obliged. But He feels obliged. Why? Avidusah. We are all fools and rascals. We are thinking that we are giving some service. No. We cannot give any. We are so insignificant that we cannot. He's unlimited, and we are very, very limited, tiny. But still, just the small child gives something to the father... I

An internal battle .......................Nectarean Mellows

We are all in a war against Maya and what is the war against Maya? - it’s the war against the asuras within our heart. Yes? It’s an internal battle, its Kurushetra going on within all of us. If we are not fighting that means we have surrendered to the Kurus. Arjuna didn't want to fight, just let things be peaceful but then Duryodhana and the kurus would just continue to reign. So, within o
