Five Prayers to Lord Narasimha
by Bhaktivinoda Thakura

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has written five beautiful prayers in "Sri Navadvipa Bhava Taranga" for receiving the mercy of Lord Narasimha. These prayers are certainly assurance to all sincere devotees that the worship of Lord Narasimha is purely in the line of aspiring love and devotion to Sri Sri Radha and Krsna. Those prayers are as follows.

e dusta hrdaye kama adi ripu chaya

wolf in sheeps clothing

Looking good from outside, inside I'm full of lust.

I am worse than a prostitute, I seek bodily pleasure every moment.

My mind gets agitated at the smallest of pretext.

The desire for fame has married sense gratification within me.

And its children have burned  down the small shoots of devotion within my heart, Leaving it hard and black.

I therefore beg Guru and all the Vaisanavas to feel pity on me, please bless me to have continuous association of Sadhus and shastras.

There won't be a more f

Krsna Prasadam: The Lord's Mercy'

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

By development of Krsna consciousness one can know that everything has its use in the service of the Lord.
On the higher platform, there is nothing material when everything is accepted in relationship with Krishna or the Supreme Spirit.
After cooking is finished and when it is offered to the Deity, then you take as much as you like, as much as you like. So that means there is God consciousness, that "This thing is being co

What offence is the most grave?

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

If one disregards and disrespects Vaishnavas, he commits an offence. Sinful reactions are nullified simply by undergoing ordinary atonement; but offences are not nullified so easily. A sin is committed by both gross and subtle bodies; an offence degrades one's self-realization. Therefore, those who desire to worship the Supreme Lord must be careful not to commit offences.
Srila Bhaktivinod Thakur
As quoted in page 227 of V

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Those who renounce their subordination and service to the spiritual master pretend to serve Krishna and chant the holy name, but they commit offenses at every step.  As long as one continues to commit offenses he cannot serve Krishna or chant His holy names purely.  Only the surrendered devotees engaged in Guru and Vaisnava-seva attain pure devotion by their mercy.  Sri Caitanyadeva and the Gosvamis bestow mercy on those

Do not focus primarily on the negative

Hare Krsna

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada

It’s extremely seductive, when sharing with others about your workday, to focus primarily on the negative. A fairly typical response to the question, “How was your day?” is, “I had a really tough one.”

If you elaborate, it’s likely that you’ll focus on how little time you had, the tough issues and conflicts, problems, difficult people, hassles, your sense of hurry and being rushed, negative employees, all the things that
