What is prasadam?

The word `prasad' means that which gives peace. Prasada is the sacred food offering of the Lord. The prasadam of the Lord is very purifying. If it is taken with faith and devotion, it brings miraculous results to the person who honors it. The Lord enjoys the subtle essence of the food offered to Him with love. The food is then honored as prasadam.

Last year we decided to stream live video from Krishna’s Village of Peace at Przystanek Woodstock and give everyone a chance to be a part of the legendary Ratha Yatra’s Kirtans. As it was, devotees were talking about them through-out the year. Why not give even more devotees the chance to be a part of this fiesta? And it happened.
