A vegetarian farmer has given his herd of cows to an animal sanctuary to protect them from the slaughterhouse.
Jay Wilde, 59, who farms in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, sent 63 cattle to a Norfolk rescue centre as he could no longer bear to send them to be killed.
Mr Wilde, a vegetarian for 25 years, grew up herding cows and took over the family farm when his father died.

Annual bathing festival popularly known as “Snana Yatra” of Lord Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra was held at the ISKCON, Plainfield temple on June 9. - The main thing - is the unity. Without it, kirtan will fail. From the first minute it is difficult to combine the kirtan all the devotees. Usually, to form a unity among the faithful, and that they had a taste, it takes some time. Is 15 minutes’re kirtan, 20 minutes, 30 … And then begins something unusual. Sankirtana - chanting it. And if we do during sankirtana not feel each other - there is no full unity.

Vijaya Dasa: Recently, I spoke on the Bhagavad-gita in Oslo, Norway, at the Sunday program. One point I made is that there is so much bad news. But people like to hear it, and thus worldwide they read the latest news in the morning before or while going to work and in the evening when they return.
Prabhupada said his disciples don’t read the news, because it’s all bad news. No one walks away inspired after hearing bad news. Our morning news is the Srimad Bhagavatam, but that is all good news.

ISKCON Mangalore Jagannath Mandir, has celebrated snan Yatra of Lord Jagannath for first time in last 13yrs.There was grand abhishekam and Lord was bathed with water from different holy rivers and Kundas all around India.
Following which, Darshan were closed for 2 weeks. Lord was painted again fully and this sunday,June 4th, was Netra Utsav of Lord Jagannath. Around 250 devotees attended.

On the 11th of June 2017, devotees from Bali assembled at the Merta Sari (Nectarine Ocean) beach in order to celebrate the annual Cida Dahi Festival.
