Since almost a year or more, Vinod Vihari das has been involved in a program of “World Alliance of religious peace”, “WARP” an NGO based organization in South Korea.
Every month there was a Skype meeting among various religious leaders, like the Christians, Muslims and the Hindus.
Various interesting topics were discussed such as:
A) the importance of the sacred Scriptures, proof of their authenticity,
B) If there is a God and who is He and if we can see Him
C) extremism and terrorism,
D) history and geology of religions.
These dialogues were interexchanged worldwide in more than 120 countries.
The final goal of these interfaith dialogues is that the public should be aware of the fact that all religious scriptures speak of the same one God and that the purpose of religion is to raise oneself above all personal interests and differences and achieve an eternal peace for humanity at large.
The summit was held from 17 to 20th September, in the capital of South Korea, Korea, where more than 1000 leaders from all sectors of the society such as politics, religion, humantarism, philanthropics, local and international media, groups, NGOs, organizations of women, organizations of university students with a participation of more than 200,000 people from around the world attended to enhance these ideologies of the peace and oblige the Governments and United Nations to establish some laws to achieve “declaration of peace and cessation of wars.” (DPCW)
The conferences were held in different rooms of five stars intercontinental hotels and the final Summit was made in the “Olympic stadium of Football” in Seoul.
Iskcon was represented by several devotees from around the world like Malaysia, Cape Town, portugal, New York, etc., who were invited at this Summit. Thanks to Srila Prabhupada, today, Krishna consciousness is reaching millions of people through different methods of communications. This grand gathering of WARP, surely, will take Iskcon to other dimensions.
Thanks to the wonderful hospitality and the hard work of the volunteers ( who were the youth of South Korea fighting to achieve peace) and their love for their leader Man Hee Lee, the chairman of HWPL – heavenly culture world peace.
It’s a wonderful project he has taken up for humanity at large.
