And then if we think about that, all the great hardships that are happening to people, then here we have the all kind, all loving Supreme Lord, the well-wisher of all living beings. How can we see it like that? How can we see suffering as a benediction? But that is exactly what suffering is. It is a bitter medicine!

Krsna shows that ultimately, higher even than dharma (duty), is the love that exists between Krsna and his devotee. That is why in Kurukshetra, Krsna broke his vow. Krsna had promised not to fight, but when Bhismadev was about to kill Arjuna, suddenly he took up the wheel! Krsna shows that the love for his devotee is even greater than dharma. And it is this secret that Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu came to teach – developing a loving relationship which exists between a devotee and Krsna.

“Hey, Walking Monk!” shouted the soul from the window of his vehicle as I was approaching Bloor Street. I wasn’t sure in the beginning who the greeter was, so I moved closer.
“Remember me?” he asked.
“You mean you’re a priest?”
I am sure all of you'll have experienced a feeling of being let down by someone whom you loved and trusted, a feeling of heartbreak, a feeling of pain when people whom you loved didn't reciprocate back to leave you broken. This world is such that instances like these keep happening now and then. Sometimes they are intentional

A Hare Krishna devotee was sent from San Francisco to the UK in 1968 with two missions: to set up the movement’s first temple in London – and to meet the Beatles.
It was a seemingly quixotic quest, according to Gurudas, 78, otherwise known as Roger Siegel, who has released pictures from the period that will be published to mark the temple’s 50th anniversary.
With the release of The White Album, the Beatles were at the peak of their fame, and, as Gurudas

It was a surreal sight indeed on Friday June 7th to see Madhava Das and other kirtaniyas belting out the Holy Name on a stage in the very heart of Times Square, New York City.
The historic Harinama Sankirtana event drew some 200 devotees, and was used to promote New York Rathayatra and the accompanying Hare Krishna Festival from June 7th to 9th.
To put on the event, ISKCON Brooklyn partnered with the Yuga Dharma Ashram, a group of devotees who chant in the city daily.

It is a great honor, privilege, and pleasure to be here on the auspicious occasion of Snana-yatra. The first deities of Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra in ISKCON were discovered in San Francisco in 1967. One of Srila Prabhupada’s early disciples, Malati dasi, saw a small figure in an import store, Cost Plus, and brought it to him. When Prabhupada saw the figure, his eyes opened wide. He folded his palms and bowed his head in respect. Then he said, “You have brought Lord Jagannatha, the Lord
