Love is our life; everyone wants to love. Everyone is hankering to love
someone. But we do not know where to place our love. Krsna, however, is the
ultimate object of love. We are trying to maintain this body, but the body
is not actually the proper object of our love. Rather, it is the life within
the body that is the real object of love. Similarly, the central point is
Krsna. As soon as we somehow or other place our love with Krsna, our path of
happiness, eternity and bliss opens.

Destiny is extremely strong
This is an example of destiny. King Saudasa was condemned by the curse of Vasistha, and therefore even though he was well qualified he could not restrain himself from becoming a tigerlike Raksasa, for this was his destiny. Tal labhyate duhkhavad anyatah sukham (SB 1.5.18). As one is put into distress by destiny, destiny can also put one in a happy situation. Destiny is extremely strong, but one can change destiny if one comes to the platform of Krsna consciousness. Kar

Spiritual knowledge descends through the disciplic succession from Krishna. The representatives of the disciplic succession can not change anything, add anything or subtract anything. Otherwise the disciplic succession will be broken and their preaching will have no potency. Many times in the history this disciplic succession has been broken because the representatives of the disciplic succession did not correctly pass on the knowledge to their students.
We can understand how perfect knowledge ca
Worshiping Govardhana Hill
1. Once Lord Krsna saw the cowherd men busily arranging for a sacrifice to Indra. Being the omniscient Supersoul, the Supreme Lord Krsna already understood the situation, yet He still humbly inquired from the elders, headed by His father, Nanda Maharaja.
2. [Lord Krsna said:] My dear father, kindly explain to Me what this great endeavor of yours is all about. What is it meant to accomplish? If this is a ri
The Sanskrit word sanatana means "eternal" and the word dharma means "occupation." Therefore the term "Sanatana Dharma" can be taken to mean our eternal occupation.

If one is not purified by the process of the seed giving ceremony, or garbhadhana samskara he is immediately classified amongst the sudras because only the sudras do not undergo this purificatory process.
Krsna book, IIp.236
The pious seminal succession in the twice born families of the brahmanas and ksatriyas especially, as well as in the families of vaisyas also, must be kept very pure by the observation of the purificatory process (samksaras) beginning with ga

The lotus feet of the spiritual master are the abode of pure devotional service. I bow down to those lotus feet with great care and attention. My dear brother (my dear mind)! It is through the grace of the spiritual master that we cross over this material existence and obtain Krsna.(1)

Learning to love
Contamination from sinful activity requires proportionate atonement. That is the prescription of the scriptures. Śukadeva Gosvāmī says that if one accepts atonement before death, in his next life he will not fall down. If he does not atone, he willcarry with him the resultant reactions of his sinful activities and will haveto suffer. According to law, if a man kills someone he must himself bekilled. Now, therefore, I will try to explain the process of devotional service. |

Devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead is explained in the Bhagavad-gītā,where the Lord says that a self-realized person is always in the transcendental state known asbrahma-bhūta, which is characterized by joyfulness. When one is self-realized he becomes joyful. |
"Because a non-devotee has become a devotee," Prabhupada replied, "he is practicing how to simply accept Krsna's orders. But by his previous habit he's still engaged in 'Do it' and 'Don't do it.' Just like this fan is running. You take out the switch, the current is stopped, but it's still running, at l
