The ten offenses in chanting the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra must be given up to achieve success in the chanting process. They are described in the Padma Purana, Brahma Khanda 25.15-18

satam ninda namnah paramam aparadham vitanute
yatah khyatim yatam katham u sahate tad-vigarham
