Surrender means in any condition you'll remain surrendered. That is surrender. Not that I put my own condition, and if you satisfy me, then I shall... That is business. That is not surrender. Surrender means in any condition, fully surrendered to Krsna. Without hankering. What is hankering? Why shall I be hankering? I know, Krsna will give me all protection. So then why shall I hanker? Without hankering. Simple. No duplicity. Simple. The worldly men, they are duplicatous (?), speaking something,

The Srimad Bhagavatam speaks of a great king named Yadu. Once when he was travelling through a forest he saw an Avdhut, a person who apparently was a social outcaste. He was laying in the forest like a python. From a material and from a social consideration, he was a failure. But Yadu, being a religious man, could see the person was bright faced and happy, more happy than anyone he had ever met. So he asked, “How is it that despite the poverty, you are so happy? Who is your guru? Where did you l

Do not accept paper currency. It must be gold or some metal worth. Just like one dollar, it must be worth one dollar metal. Then the economic problems are solved. But the government wants to cheat, so how can these problems be solved? Because if I pay you one dollar, I must pay you value for one dollar. But the cheating process is going on, "I pay you one dollar, a pi

I am so pleased to hear from you that the book distribution has increased five times than before! Similarly, I have heard from Chicago and other places also that they are increasing five times than before. That is very encouraging to me. Garuda Meets Hanuman
In Dwarka, Krishna once sent for Garuda and told him, "Go and call Hanuman." So Garuda went to Hanuman and told him, "Lord Krishna is calling you to Dwarka." Hanuman was busy chanting rama-nama, "Rama, Rama, Rama, Rama." He didn't pay any attention to Garuda. Garuda repeated himself two or three times, "I have come from Dwarka. Lord Krishna has sent me. He is calling you.

The Supreme Form
During his travels in South India, Mahaprabhu had some discussion with the tattva-vadisin Udupi. Although he didn't agree with the tattva-vadis,
Mahaprabhu accepted the Madhva sampradaya, which is known as the tattva-vadi sampradaya.
Why did he accept it?

Should we suppress or express our emotions of sorrow when our fellow-devotees pass away in sudden tragedies?
By H.g.Gauranga Prabhu Chowpatty June 12, 2012
*Question*: When our fellow-devotees pass away in sudden tragedies, should we express or suppress our emotions of sorrow? Won’t expressing such emotions indicate that we have not understood that they are not their bodies and have actually not died? At the same time, won’t suppressing our emotions make us hard-hearted?
*Short Answer*: The path of

Prabhupada: This is significant. Those who are Krsna conscious, they have no material desires. Finished. Brahmany upasamasrayam. Upasama, upasama means completely finished, don't want. They can worship the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Otherwise, without being akama ... Akama means no material desires. Anyabhilasita-sunyam [BRS 1.1.11], completely. If we have got least desire for material enjoyment, Krsna will give us chance again to accept a body which will satisfy the senses. Deha-yogena deh

We must study these relationships, mellows, from a neutral point of view. If you examine neutrally, the position of being the lover of Krishna is better than the position of a person who is in relationship with Krishna as a servant. Anyone — whether a servant, a father, or a lover of Krishna — they all consider their own relationship to be the best. But from a neutral

Why does a Krishna-bhakta dutifully performs, *Nama-Japam* ( Recitation of Krishna's names) every day?
In this materialistic age Kali-yugam , *Nama-Japam* is the prescribed ritual for Bhagavan-realization . It is necessary to bath daily to remove the accumulated dirt from our body . Similarly, *Nama-Japam* cleanses the accumulated dirt in our heart .
Sri Krishna's names are non-different from Him . The very utterance

I was sitting with a renowned Vedic Jyothishi . One NRI gentleman arrived there to meet the Jyothishi . He started narrating the severe problems he is encountering now – it included the recent loss of job, domestic problems, continuous bad luck , etc, etc.
After ritually verifying his horoscope , the Jyothishi asked "Do you have any habit of *Nama-Japam* ? " .
The NRI gentleman was stunned and shook his head vigrously .
In the beginning the body is the size of a pea. Then it grows to become a baby, then a child, a young boy, a youth, a grown man and an old man, and finally, when it becomes useless, the living entity changes into another body. The body is therefore always changing, and death is simply the ultimate change of the present body.

That is the conclusion. Here Srimad-Bhagavatam is recommending different demigods for different purposes because there are all classes of men. So to take immediate effect, they worship demigods. Ksipram, very soon. Generally, people do not go to worship Krsna and Visnu, because you cannot ask from Krsna anything which is not good for you. Suppose you pray to Krsna on the seaside, "Krsna, give me a good fish. I want to catch." Krsna will never fulfill your desire. That is Krsna's mercy. Because K
