Hare Krsna
Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Why does a Krishna-bhakta dutifully performs, *Nama-Japam* ( Recitation of Krishna's names) every day?
In this materialistic age Kali-yugam , *Nama-Japam* is the prescribed ritual for Bhagavan-realization . It is necessary to bath daily to remove the accumulated dirt from our body . Similarly, *Nama-Japam* cleanses the accumulated dirt in our heart .
Sri Krishna's names are non-different from Him . The very utterance of the divine name has a miraculous and purifying effect on the chanter as well as the surroundings . It pleases and invokes the *Paramatman* ( Supersoul) form Sri Krishna who is seated in Bhakta's heart.
A regular chanter's heart is like a Vedic Krishna-temple . He is practically a power house of divinity .Anyone coming in contact with him will be blessed . The modern Guru, Srila Prabhupada is a classic example . Even after physical disappearance from this world, Prabhupada's divinity of Vaishnava-power is still flowing through his disciples .
Sri Krishna is *Bhakta-valsala* ( devotee loving) . Bhagavan is immensely pleased when His Bhakta recites His *Nama* . Such a faithful chanter is blessed by both Sri Krishna and His consort Maha-Lakshmi Devi .
