Muslims Promote Bhagavat Gita As It Is : ISKCON Ujjain News

As you might be aware of a very popular ISKCON Ujjain project- "Gita Champions League" which greatly inspired and blessed by HH Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj. The idea is not only to distribute Bhagavat Gita As It Is but also to inspire people to read it. Already over 1,700 students from the most elite institutions of the state of Madhya Pradesh are participating in this, and the registration count is increasing day by day. This event is being supported by "Dainik Bhaskar", the largest media group of the state of Madhya Pradesh .  As a part of the promotional campaign, there have been numerous articles on the event and about ISKCON in the newspapers (please see http://www.facebook.com/pages/GCL-Indore/340730725953571). Because of this, ISKCON has received massive publicity and earned a very good name in the public.

It is noteworthy that the Senior Manager incharge of promoting the event, and in turn, promoting Srila Prabhupada's "Bhagavad-Gita As It Is" is Mr. Nayeem Tanvar - a Muslim. Not only this, his assistant from Dainik Bhaskar is Mr. Laequddin Qureshi - another Muslim. This is what their signatures reads-

Tanveer Nayeem Senior Manager, DB Activation(MPCG), Dainik Bhaskar

Laequddin Qureshi Executive - DB Samarpan Dainik Bhaskar Indore (M.P.)

Gita Champions League has a very active promotional strategy for the event including newspaper articles, editorials, advertorials, radio shows, TV coverage etc. Everyone involved is putting their heart and soul into it. As a result of their advertisements, there have been at least 400 direct registrations (that means a direct distribution of 400 Bhagavad-Gitas), apart from promoting Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad-Gita to at least 200,000 people. Though this is part of their routine work, we can just imagine the kind of sukriti they would get to get directly involved in such a glorious service as Book Distribution during the December Marathon. Should we add their scores to the temple Book Distribution scores? :)

The sankirtan movement of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada is so glorious that even people from such backgrounds could also serve the movement of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and get spiritual credit.

Hare Krishna!
