Hare krsna dear devotees, this is a main question...when i read or hear from devotees that we don't have to change our job but the conciousness behind the work....so immediately there comes a question in my mind...does that statement apply to a butcher's profession too?? How to understand this?

By obtaining temporary fruits from material work, unhappiness which comes from ignorance is the only result. Even while enjoying the fruits of the work, people are filled with lamentation.
Materialistic teachers encourage less intelligent people in economical development and sense gratification, but those who are intelligent enough should not waste the time and effort like others.
In hopes of becoming happy in this material world, the foolish conditioned soul performs fruitive activities that result only in suffering. But by rendering service to the Lord, one becomes free from such false desires.

Pls dont tax yourself endlessly with these questions. You are an engineer, not a butcher. You bother about your consciousness - what mode are you serving in. You can be an engineer, working somewhere and doing your devotion, married, having a Krsna Conscious family. Pls work towards this - rather than these questions whihc will lead you nowhere.
If you personally know any butcher who is going through this dillema, send them to me - i will help them.
