in bg chapter 2 text 31, SP explains that kshtriyas killed in battlefield gets heavenly kingdom. this question just came to my mind that will the modern warfare still grant soldiers heavenly kingdom because there is complete contrast in warfare today & kurukshetra like today soldiers fight even in the night which is illegal by vedas

They will get good karma for good things but they will also pay for their bad karma... if they break regulative principles n all..

yes, it is true how will they go to the heaven if they used to eat meat and do all nonsense, no way!
Even to go to the heaven one needs to do so many purificatory yagyas.
But there might some instances where sometimes police people give protection to pious men such like Devotees, they might be liberated or will be given chance to take birth again in human body and have chance to chant the Holy Names. They is no doubt about it.
But most times these people on the place of protecting Devotees hinder them.
But i think better not to discuss this question further more!

When Srila Prabhupada explained this verse, he meant Kshatriyas. Now just the position of kshatriyas is an elevated one. Those who fight in modern wars, they are not kshatriyas, they are worst than sudras- breaking all regulative principles- meat eating, intoxication, gambling and illicit sex. So how can they go to heavenly planets!!!!!! Also ,if the king does wrong, his whole kingdom has to bear the punishment, so if the country for which the soldiers r fighting, they are wrong by the laws of nature, the soldiers will also have to bear the karma accordingly. ex. During the time of Romapada mahraja, there was a famine in his kingdom.
So these soldiers won't go to heavenly planets, they will go to some hell for their sinful activities. We are lucky to be in India cuz our country is not aggressive and does not go on killing innocent people just to expand fanaticism like most other countries of the world. HHRNSM said that so many communities of the world, when they were troubled in their own countries, they found shelter in India.Sanatan dharma existed in India and people had that culture of mercy, truthfulness, austerity and cleanliness.
