As a humble addition to what other devotees have stated...
Sadhana bhakti means practicing. Sometimes we may feel the bliss and sometimes not. That is the natural thing about sadhana bhakti. Pure devotees always feel the bliss but we as practicing devotees feel it sometimes. Gradually those moments will increase. So we should just keep practicing sadhana bhakti with enthusiasm and patience.

when Krishna dances Rasa dance with Gopis after some time they become little proud that Krishna is dancing only with me....that time Krishna leaves their association.
Krishna does not like to see pride in His Devotees' heart so He leaves in order to protect them from bad qualities. (But of course with Gopis it is a lila but for us - a subject for consideration).

if we try very hard in our attentive chanting and proper sadhana maybe after month of hard work Krishna gives some taste to feel in His Holy Names. And when that taste comes we loose our previous en devour towards Krishna. Towards attentive chanting. Because taste is there, why to work hard...but Krishna does not want us to stop only in that stage, He wants from us more and more devotion.
So in order to quench little bit our thirst in a burning desert He gives a drop of water in order to keep us alive and remind us that He is there, that Spiritual life is joyful...but only drop. After feeling that taste Devotee is like chakora bird desires only that water more and more none other.
As like He did with Narada Muni when he was son of a maid servant. He meditated upon the Lord and He appeared in the form of His sound and then form (also, no?) and disappeared immediately telling that He did it only so that boy could hanker more and more towards Him. In this way perfect his life.
So summary is KRISHNA GIVES SOME DOZE OF SPIRITUAL BLISS IN ORDER TO MAKE US HANKER MORE AND MORE TOWARDS HIM. AND THAT TASTE ONLY WILL PROTECT US FROM LOWER DESIRES. ONCE TASTING THAT HIGHER TASTE ONE WILL LOOSE DESIRE TO OTHER LOWER HAPPINESSES OF THIS WORLD.
