Hare Krishna

We are after designations. Someone wants to become " sir," someone wants to become " lord ," someone wants to become " sevak " or something else.

As long as we are attached to these designations, we are attached to the body, because designations belong to the body. Designations and attachments are due to our lust and desire, our wanting to lord it over the material nature. As long as we do not give up this propensity of lording it over material nature, there is no possibility of returning to the kingdom of the Supreme, the sanatana-dhama.

" The whole world moves under this impression. People are considering the land, this earth, to belong to human society, and they have divided the land under the false impression that they are the proprieters. One has to get out of this false notion that human society is the proprieter of this world. When one is freed from such a false notion, he becomes free from all the false associations caused by familial, social and national affections. These faulty associations bind one to this material world. "

  • Akshit  tell me who is the one devotee of lord who left his brother's side ( that is he left the designation of being a brother ) to support Lord?

Tell me who is the one devotee who left the side of his own mother to serve Lord?

Tell me who is the one devotee of Lord who left his guru when he decided to support Lord and stood by the Lord's side and even leaves his guru ?

Tell me the name of the one devotee of Lord who didn't support his father's view and supported Lord and stood in the favor of Lord?

Tell me the name of the devotees of Lord who ditched the demigod for supporting Lord ?

Tell me the name of the devotees who ditched the husband for the sake of Lord?

Tell me the name of one devotee of Lord who fights with his own family to be at the service of Lord?

    Try to find the answers-

This is not for senior devotee ( KD prabhu).

This is only test for AKSHIT prabhu.

2-Lord Chaitnya? He left both his mother and wife of maybe Dhruv maharaj

      3-bali maharaj

      4- prahalad maharaj

5- garuda? (He stole amrit from Indra right?)

      6- Meera Bai?

7- I think prahalad maharaj again...

      • 1. is right  2. could be Lord Chaitanaya  but I would say Bharata who left his mother kaikeyi and totally served lord his brother..

        3. right again  4. right  5. could be garuda yes ( but I would say- even  braj vaasi's who left Indra pooja and did what Lord suggested

        6. meerabai is right again ( if it were many devotees then it is gopi's)

        7. Arjuna fought with his own kit and kin isn't it?, could be prahalaada too.

Just a random test to see where you stand in bhakti.

You pass and I know one think for sure.. Not all have this much enthusiasm in bhakti and curiosity to know like you.

It shows you are something for sure.

          • All glories to Srila Prabhuapda

If the books were not in English. I cannot read Sanskrit nor understand them.

I am illiterate in Tamil, Bengali and Sanskrit .. how can I even read all these Vaishnava Scriptures?

I owe it all to Srila Prabhupada.

            • Yes, and even if their are other English version we don't know how much misinterpretation are in their.

              All glories to srila Prabhupada

              • I haven't heard about Meerabai from Srila Prabhupada but which is the most authoritative account on Meerabai in English language?

I just heard Indresh ji speaking on how she merged into the deity of Dwarkadish.

Suddenly I am inspired to learn all about her. Please help me out. I will be grateful if anyone can direct me towards a book from which I can read about her. Thank you in advance!
