Hare Krsna dear devotees
Please try to answer this one. In hearings and testimonies in courts throughout history one was asked to swear by the truth. The truth is extolled in the scriptures and the truth is nothing but God, Krsna, Jesus. Lord Krsna said there is no Truth superior to Him. Jesus said I am the way, the Truth and life.
If thousands upon thousands try to speak the truth, can they do so without knowing God?
Truth is a great mystery and Bhagavad-gita is a great mystery.
In my personal opinion what happens in courts in the name of oath taking is a mockery of the scriptures and the Truth.
