I understand that Hare Krsna Mahamantra is very special for Kali Yuga. But still why Lord Krsna didn't say anything about this to Arjuna?

Learnt a lot from this discussion.
We have to remember that Hare Krishna maha mantra was given mercy by Lord Caitanyadeva specifically for us here in Kali Yuga.
When Krishna spoke Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna it was towards the end of Dwarpa Yuga but not yet Kali Yuga.
All these things we must remember.

Hare Krishna Dean Prabhuji, For your Information Hare Krishna mahamantra is from Kali-santrana upanishad which is one of 108 upanishad along with that it is mentioned in ananta-samhita, garga-samhita, Brahmanda Purana and many other scriptures.
we should not give such argument which bewildered a person about the authenticity of Krishna consciousness.

Just to add, Krishna is very very selective when it comes to who gets His mercy.
After summing the significance of the Gita and how to go to Him in two verses (18.65/18.66), He mentions:
"This confidential knowledge may never be explained to those who are not austere, or devoted, or engaged in devotional service, nor to one who is envious of Me." (18.67)...
The Hare Krishna Mahamantra is for everyone, not just select individuals. This is, as mentioned by Zola Prabhu, due to the mercy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu!
