hare krishna prabhuji mataji. i want to ask how one chooses one's ishta deva. the image of krishna i have in my heart keeps changing. i love krishna and radha ji and i also love jagannath balavadra and subhadra devi. i understand ram krishna and jagannatha are all one beloved krishna only. and when i hear about there pastimes i get attracted to them. our ultimate goal is the lotus feet of radha and krishna. but its my personal problem... i don't know which form of krishna i should worship. in bhagwat gita krishna says to always think of him in this way-
These words stress that one should concentrate his mind upon Krsna-the very form with two hands carrying a flute, the bluish boy with a beautiful face and peacock feathers in His hair. There are descriptions of Krsna found in the Brahma-samhita and other literatures. One should fix his mind on this original form of Godhead, Krsna. He should not even divert his attention to other forms of the Lord. The Lord has multi-forms, as Visnu, Narayana, Rama, Varaha, etc., but a devotee should concentrate his mind on the form that was present before Arjuna. bg as it is 18. 65
i want to follow whatever is said in bhagvat gita with all my heart. but if i love different forms of krishna how can i meditate upon krishna like it is said in bhagwat gita? why my heart is not fixed on one form of lord? and it keeps changing?

As Anusha TR mata ji said. It is important to do deity worship. Once you get a murti at home and start worshipping it. Your total focus will be diverted to that form which is present at home on the altar.
Surely, you will would decorate ur altar with 3 tiers. and arrange on the pivot Radha Krishna deities. Then ur whole focus will be on the main central deity only.
well, ya all are Lord's forms and all forms of Lord are equally attractive. But all attractive is Krishna. See, Whatever be the form your bhava matters for the deity.
If you have bhava of mother or bhava of lover, or bhava of sister or bhava of father or bhava prema as sakha ( friend) that is going to matter after all.
One can easily form these types of feelings and emotions with Krishna easily. Other forms of Lord are not so closer to us.
You can surely form feeling of Bhai ( brother) to Rama or friend to Rama ... but Seva bhava is most easily formed with Lord Rama as He was a KING.
When you think about Narayana.. all you can form is " I am devotee" or I am a sevak" or "I am son of Lord" only three is easily possible. Ofcourse there were devotees like Andal and and many alwars who were in loving relationship with Lord Narayana too. But it is somewhat not so easy to form Loving relationship with Shriman Narayana.. As He looks fierce with all the 4 arms and weapons.
Coming to Krishna all types of relationships are possible with Lord Sri Krishna so..He is supereme personality of Godhead.. One can say Jagannataka Sutra dhaari. He can play along with you like a friend, be a brother, be lover or husband , or be ur son .. so He like one in all. ALL in One. So He is Paripoorna Avataari.
Keep a cental deity of Shree Shree Radha Madhava and start worshiping decorating and you will see.. all your focus diverted to Lord Sri Krishna. Pray to Gaura Nitaai to help your focus on Krishna and Radha they will help.
Lord Jagannatha again is Dwarakadeesh.. Sri Krishna only but he is King Dwarakadesh, with HIM also you cannot form any type of relations. Only with little Krishna Gopal of the Vrindavan it is possible to establish all relationships. So As far as I am concerned.. Little Krishna the govardhandhari the Nanda Kumar, Yashodha nanadan is only my central focus.

prabhuji dandawat pranam thankyou for answering me😊🙏🙏 one thing i want to ask is why did chaitanya mahaprabhu who is krishna himself sang jagannatha swami nayana pathagami bhava tume i(jagannatha astakam) . which meant o lord jagannatha please always be the object of my vision.
didn't caitanya mahaprabhu(in the mood of srimati radharani) considered jagannatha his shyamsundar.?
isn't jagannatha the same little boy from vrindavan?

Secondly, Jaganntha swami ji is there with Balabadra and Subadra at Puri Kshetra but no Rukmani besides.
Now listen to the story then you will get the answer why Shri Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu in the form of Radharani cries in front of Lord Jagannatha.
Once it so happened that..
Mata Rohini and Mata Devaki along with all other brides of Sri Krishna were talking in a place they were discussing about the Lord's pastimes which He did in Vrindavan. Then Mata Rohini said silently in the ear of Subhadra devi .. to keep a gaurd at the entrance door. Why? she asked
Mata Rohini said .. Subhadra! you see your Brother Sri Krishna is so much attracted to Vrindavan that if the listens to the the tales which I am going to narrate now .. He might feel sad and cry and want to leave us and go back to Vrindavan. SO do one thing .. you stay near the door and keep a watch .. If Sri Krishna your brother comes by inform us so that we will stop talking about the pastimes in vrindavan. Subhadra said okay.. and she went and stood at the door gaurding it..
She also was lost when pastimes were being narrated and .. How Lord did steal butter, How He stole clothes of the maidens ( gopis') etc .. how He killed all the demons.. Suddenly the pastimes of Rasaleela started and all totally immersed into it and forgot the surroundings including Subhadra devi.
So, When Mata Rohini started to Say how Shrimati Radharani suffered from seperation and all started to cry almost in sadness and melancholy mood.
Then suddenly without the notice of Subhadra devi Sri Krishna along with Balarama came there itseems and as soon as they heard the Name of SHRIMATI RADHARANI Ji... Balarama, Sri Krishna along with Subhadra devi all became like wooden statues.. They lost senses.
They were in the mood of Vrindavan at that time.. Lost in the Vrindavan leelas and In seperation mood Lord was melting into sorrrow .. At that juncture.. Naarad muni came itseems..
Narad muni saw these stick figurine like statues of Lord Balabadra, Sri Krishna and Subhadra at the door step who were totally lost in the mood of Vrindavan were almost crying and expressing sorrow as well as happiness at the same time listening to the name of Radharani itseems.
That is when Narad muni saw this and started to dance in ecstasy.
And begged to Lord that What a beautiful sight I am seeing that My LOrd along with HIs brother and sister in Paravashya ( ecstatic condition) remembering Radharani. Narad mini begged Pls. pls. Stay like this.. I want this momment to be captured. I want all the world to see my Lord along with His brother and Sister like this condition. SO.. Lord felt very happy seeing the dancing Narad muni and granted the wish itseems. That in course of time it will surely happen.
So why Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu in the Radharani mood danced in front of Lord Jagannatha is because.. Lord in ecstatic mood remembering HER.
But You see . Lord Jagannatha is Lord Sri Krishna dwarkadeesh there... ( As I think you know the story of Brahma Padharath Neelamani ) .!!! The heart of Lord is in the Wooden Deity. Which is still alive and It is in ecstatic mood remembering Radhe Radhe Radhe..
So, that is reason.
