Hare Krishna prabhuji/ mataji🙏🏻. Please accept my prostrated obesciences at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I am a new devotee . Actually, I quit eating onion, garlic, meat, non veg , coffee, tea etc. And also outside restaurant food 2 months ago. I want to advance in the path of bhakti and attain pure love of godhead.

I live with my parents who are yet unmanifested devotees ( non devotees). I want them also to come to Krishna Consciousness. I cannot see their quarrels, suffering, lamentation etc. I eagerly want them also to engage in this blissful process of bhakti.

I have heard from many siksha gurus that the best way to change their consciousness and get them into bhakti is Krishna Prasadam. By honouring prasadam regularly they will gradually become devotees. But there are many rules and procedures to follow. Also that food cooked by a non devotee should not be offered to Lord.

Please properly guide me and help me out in this process.

Yas

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

WOnderful to know that you have been able to quit all food that is not allowed. Controlling the tongue is one of the most important aspect of growth in devotion.

I can understand and appreciate your desire to give this jewel of bhakti to your parents. Initially, do not be bothered about who is cooking the food. Whatever is there without onion garlic, vegetarian food, somehow or other ensure that it is offered to Krsna before it is given to family members to eat. There can be times when nothing is there in this category. No worries, milk, curd, fruits, dry fruits are always there. Please ensure to offer those.

Make your family eat prasadam and chant very sincerely, praying to Their Lordships for them. Rest They will weave Their magic and your family will be converted as decided by the lord.

Dandvat pranam to your sincerity prabhu.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

  •  Hare Krishna,

Try to learn cooking even if it is a simple dish also fine like kheer or kichdi or anything can be put for bhog. You can offer daily fruit and milk to Lord and then give ur parents the prasadam. You can do it. Try!
