what is the ultimate end.

we go through a cycle of birth and death ,until we attain moksha. what happens after moksha is our soul again sent the materialistic world if no , then where does it go ? I have heard it gets united with the supreme soul of almighty lord. but after that ?

  • First you need to know that moksha and maya are the state of consciousness,

therefore it doesnt have any influence on the location of the soul.

Every jiva or soul is transcendental and eternally liberated, but only because of illusion of material nature thinks "im this body" and everything connected with it is "mine".

The only difference between liberated soul and conditioned is in consciousness.

On liberated one, material nature dont have any influence, on other side conditioned souls are fully under influence of material nature.

Anyway, only those liberated souls who reject the lotus feet of the Lord will fall again in the illusion of material world.

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

beyond the cycle of birth and death is liberation. There are 5 kinds of liberation mentioned in the scriptures - sarupya, salokya, sarshti, samipya and .... These are - getting the same form as God - these are 4 handed Visnu forms, getting to stay in the same loka or planet as God, again vaikuntha planets, merging in impersonal brahman effulgence, staying close to the lord (physical presence) and one more - cant remember. Apart from merging into impersonal brahman, all the other types of liberation will take one upto Vaikuntha planets. This is for devotees who have santa and dasya bhaav - faith and servitude.

There is another destination whihc is very rare and seldom mentioned even in the scriptures. That is the Goloka planets. That is for devotees who have madhurya, vatsalya and sakhya bhaav - conjugal love, parental love and friendship with the lord.

Once one attains any of the Vaikuntha planets or Goloka planets, one does not come back to the material world at all, unless one wants to come back or the lord desires for the soul to go to the material world to fulfill some mission or desire of the lord. What experts say is that once one returns from the material world, one never desires to return. One still may return to please the lord, not for own sense gratification.

    • thankyou for replying.
but I have another querry, let's say there are X souls on earth and at some point or other some people might get liberated ,on accounts of there good deeds let's say it Y, now X is nearly constant but Y is increasing , so it possible that ultimately everyone will get liberated and no one will be left in materialistic world.

I had asked a similar question recently. HH Bhanu Swamy Maharaj said that the way there are innumerable universes in the material world, there are innumerable souls. Each soul comes from the the stomach of Maha Visnu when the creation is done. As and when one soul is liberated and goes back to the spiritual world, Maha Visnu sends another soul to the material world.

So there will never be a time when everyone is liberated. There will always be souls in the material world.

        Haribol.

        • Hare Krishna Mataji,

I have learnt that if a jiva revolts against Krishna in the spiritual world he is sent to the material world to enjoy separately. Why should Visnu send a Jiva to the material world who is having pure love on him and unwilling to get separated from him.

          Haribol,

          S.Balaji.

            Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

            PAMHO.

You are absolutely right. Once a jiva comes to the material world (durg or jail), it remains here until it qualifies to go back to the spiritual world. In between if total annhilation happens, maha pralaya, at the end of Brahma's lifetime, then all the jivas are in sleeping condition in Maha Visnu's stomach. Then when creation happens again, these jivas are released from the stomach of Maha Visnu in various life forms, as per their karma - some are born as trees, some as aquatics, some as animals, some as humans and so on.

I was talking about that part - Maha Visnu will release from his stomch another jiva whenever any jiva qualifies to go back. As you know, creation and annhilation happens all the time.

I hope I have been able to explain.

            Haribol,

            Your servant,
