SB 1.12
Text 6: On the refusal of the sons to obey the order of their father, there was much anger generated in the mind of Brahmā, which he tried to control and not express.
Text 7: Although he tried to curb his anger, it came out from between his eyebrows, and a child mixed blue and red was immediately generated.
Text 8: After his birth he began to cry: O destiny maker, teacher of the universe, kindly designate my name and place.
Text 9: The all-powerful Brahmā, who was born from the lotus flower, pacified the boy with gentle words, accepting his request, and said: Do not cry. I shall certainly do as you desire.
Text 10: Thereafter Brahmā said: O chief of the demigods, you shall be called by the name Rudra by all people because you have so anxiously cried.
I understand a little bit, like lord shiva comes from lord sada-shiva and that rudra is a Powerfull living entity who can come from lord shiva and lord Brahma both. But still I am bit perplexed due to my limited knowledge. can anyone please explain a proper breakdown on the difference between rudra and shiva, I remember hearing too, that lord shiva creates , maintains and annihilates, the material worlds. So what does rudra do?
Also the devotees of lord Shiva are devotees of Rudra or lord shiva? Because one of the name given to rudra in the same chapter consecutive texts is shiva but I thought both are different levels. Also rudra's eleven wives are simultaneously or one after another like how mother sati gices up her body and hen becomes parvati and marries lord shiva.
PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME.🙏

Hare Krishna,
firstly the quote of SB is 3.12.12 onwards.
Mahadeva or Sadashiva is residing in the eternal spiritual world which is above the mateiral world. He is untouched by mateiral enegry. He fuctions as per the glance of Mahavishnu and makes Shambhu come in contact with maya (prakriti) and helps MahaVishnu and Brahama in creation of material world.
When MahaVishnu glances on Sada Shiva.. from him comes Lord Shiva ( whom we know is in kailasa with parvati mata) he will initiated destruction with the help of Rudra ( 11 in number).
Rudras we know are coming from the brughuti ( frowned forehead) of Brahma. they get activated only when order for destruction is issued by Sri Maha Vishnu .. who then glances over Sadashiva and SadaShiva will expand into Lord Shiva and this Shiva and Rudra ( 11) one among ridras is named shiv as well. all destroy.
Hare Krishna
So from lord shiva who is in kailash with mother parvati (and who comes from lord sadashiv) comes rudras , all the rudra's? So what the one who came out of lord Brahma was he lord shiva because there it is written that his name was rudra but I have heard that rudra is a living entity and that lord shiva does all creation, preservation and annihilation of material universe
read the above carefully
So basically shambhu is lord shiva who is worshipped, and rudra is expansion of lord shiva as the destroyer who is a powerful living entity but 11 in numbers?
Hmm
Ok, so why is one of the name of Rudra given there is shiv and who is this rudra ? I am actually a bit confused can you PLEASE summarise it mataji 🙏😭
Hare Krishna
SB 3.12.7–12 — Brahmā creates the Rudras from his anger.
SB 3.12.9–11 clearly lists these as the Rudras who will preside over destruction and fear within the universe.
SB 3.12, Brahmā creates 11 Rudras, and one of them is named Śiva. This shiva is not original Mahadeva ( SadaShiva). This SHiVa who is one among the rudras is
-is born from Brahmā’s anger
-functions within the universe
-is destroyed at pralaya
-is an empowered jīva
SadaShiva or Mahadev resides in Sadashiva loka or Eternal Kailasha..with HIS eternal wife Uma ( Parvati), This loka is above material realm between vaikunta and material world this loka resides. Eternal Uma or Parvati who is eternally present is different from the daughter of Himalaya ( who is temporary manifestation of eternal parvati in each creation).
--->There are TWO Kailasas one material and one spiritual.
material kailasa has --> Shiva = Rudra (jīva-tattva) who is manifested by Brahama at the beginning of a universe ( who is one of the 11 rudras that shiva) and he is residing there with his parvati who is a jivattva aswell who is daughter of himalayas.
Expansion of Krishna, enjoys blissful eternal pastimes with Shakti, eternal spiritual consciousness
One of the 11 Rudras, jīva-tattva (living entity) is Shiva tattva
-->Imagine a company CEO (Sadashiva). He has 11 vice presidents (Rudras). One VP is in charge of “operations” and is called “Shiva VP” because his role is the most visible and powerful—but he still reports to the CEO.
Every jiva is a marginal potency (tatastha-shakti) of Krishna are having- 1. Limited consciousness: Ordinary jīvas have very little knowledge of their divine origin. 2. Dependent on divine guidance: They cannot act independently; they experience material bondage. 3. Small portion of Godliness: Their inherent spiritual energy is minute compared to the expansions of God (like Rudras).
Brahma created 11 Rudras not simply.. Brahma Invoked SadaShiva and from Sadashiva's energy Brahma created these jiva tattva ( 11 rudras).
In the material world, Rudras along with their wives Rudrani's ( jiva tattvas) may appear on the Himalayas or other sacred places, but those are material manifestations or temporary expansions, not their eternal residence.
Rudras are also jiva-tattvas, but: 1. Much greater potency than ordinary jīvas. 2. Special functions: Cosmic destruction, transformation, and maintenance of universal balance.
Rudras are extraordinary jivas, empowered to act in the cosmic scale.
The Rudras exist in the spiritual realm as expansions of Sadashiva.
In the material world, the Rudras appear in sacred places like the Himalayas, particularly Mount Kailasha, and other spiritually charged locations. ( these mateiral rudras are manifested by Brahma taking help of SadaShiva and by meditating on SadaShiva). and the dwadasha jyothirlinga.
Hope it helps?
Hare Krishna
Yes very much, thank you mataji
