🍁 Lord statement in Bhagavad Gita suggests that even though the devotee may be worshiping other deities , they are indirectly worshiping him :
(Bhagvad Geeta 9:23)
Transliteration:
ye ’pyanya-devatā-bhaktā yajante śhraddhayānvitāḥ
te ’pi mām eva kaunteya yajantyavidhi-pūrvakam
𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : O son of Kunti, even those devotees who faithfully worship other Devtas also worship Me. But they do so by the wrong method.
🍁 There's a conversation of Krsna with his wife Satyabhama. The verse is as follow:
(Padma Purana Uttarakhand 88:43)
Transliteration:
"Shaivah Saurah Ganeshav Vaishnavah Shaktipujakah
Mameva prapnuvanti hi varsan bhasagar yatha"
𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 : Krsna says - "Like the rain water comes from all around and finally reaches to the ocean, similarly all those worshiping Shiva, Surya, Ganesha and Devi , they acquire me only but indirectly."
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 - The verses from both Bhagavad Gita and Padma Purana suggest that even though devotees may worship other deities with faith and devotion, they are indirectly worshiping Our Lord . However, it is important to follow the right method and perform worship as prescribed in the scriptures. Indiscriminate worship without following the rules and regulations may not yield the desired results. Therefore, it is essential to understand the true nature of the Supreme Lord and follow the path of devotion with sincerity and faith. Also note that worshipping devi devtas never leads to salvation/mukti as only real Parmatma able to grant one Moksha or Mukti.
Always remember the highest position of devotees is to achieve Vaikuntha or Goloka not moksha/mukti as in the Vaishnava Agama (Narada Pancaratra), 'bhakti' (devotion) is said to be superior to liberation -
'shri harer bhaktir dasyam cha sarva mukteh param mune'
(Narada Panchratra 2:7:4).
Translation - "O sage, devotion to Shri Hari (God) is superior to all forms of liberation."
The knowledge that gives devotion is the greatest, and therefore the instructor of bhakti knowledge is like father -
'pita jnanadata to jnanam tat krishna-bhakti-lakshanam'
(Narada Pancaratra 17:1:18).
