pamho, HK,
Few years back during Srila Prabhupada Book Distribution Marathon,
a young engineering student came to the book stall and inquired,
"What does Bhagavad Gita teach me about life ?"
(I asked this question to a devotee, he told me tell him Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead.)
But still I need to know for sure which slokas in Bhagavad Gita tell us about life definitely ?

Even if person reads all scriptures thousand of years, that will not help him in the life if he doesn't have a faith in God.
On another side, even uneducated and blind person who never red anything, can be saved from many obstacles in the life just by having a little faith in Lord.
Bhagavad Gita says that material life is illusion.
Bg 3.27 — The spirit soul bewildered by the influence of false ego thinks himself the doer of activities that are in actuality carried out by the three modes of material nature.
Hare Krsna Prabhuji,
PAMHO.
Have you read Gita? Looks like you have not read. Why not read the entire text and then decide what Gita teaches us about life, rather than read someone's interpretation of what they have understood from the Gita. This post also you are reading only na. So please read Gita. Then form your question and come back on this forum.
The answer to your friend - Gita teaches us who we are, what is the purpose of our life and how to lead our life. Its like a manual. The way any gadget (car or mobile) will come with a user manual on how to use that gadget, our vedas are the user manual to human life. It may not be possible to read all the vedas in Kaliyuga and then figure out how to implement it. Therefore, we concentrate on Srimad Bhagawatam & Bhagawad Gita. Gita is the summary of the teachings of our scriptures. Since it is spoken by God Himself, it is most authentic. Gita is spoken by the lord, Bhagawatam is spoken about the lord. Gita is considered graduate studies and Bhagawatam is considered post graduate study. Thats why we lay stress on reading Gita before picking Bhagawatam.
