i want to know one fundamental doubt please clarify.
We say first deserve then desire, but soul can only desire then why it is considered whether we deserve or not ? as i understand we only can desire rest all krishna does and provides then how we say first deserve then desire.suggestions and corrections are welcome.
it will be nice if example is given.

as like tiny bird who asked the ocean to give back her eggs. But ocean did not listen to her. Then she started to take water with her twig and tried to empty the water if the ocean. So she did something.
And seeing this Garuda came and helped her. But if that bird used to only desire to get back her eggs and not do anything then Garuda would see her sitting in the shore and just dreaming and he would fly over and never help.
In this way our own efforts can be called as deserving.
