Watching TV

Hare Krishna dear devotees,
I am undergoing a tough phase with in myself. Being exposed to TV with all its glam and color, got hooked up to a serial full of melodrama. Being vacation for kids, most of the time, TV on in the living room, couldn't help avoiding it. Now I am able to feel the agitation in the mind. Absolutely corrupting and corroding the little bit of spiritual energy earned so far. Feel very weak and guilty. I am surprised how I started liking the serial. I can not tolerate even one scene of movie or show or serial. Just to understand my daughter's interest I asked her and I started viewing now. Thankfully I still cannot stand movies. Can anyone help me overcome this crisis?

      there are a bunch of "animations" about Krsna that I really like and that seen proper because they elaborate on the beauty of Krsna Leela and unlike most cartoons/films we laugh at the beauty of Krsna's activities. I suggest Little Krishna. It's sweet, delightful, and excellent for any age.

      These are all about an hour and half each and they never get old. It's in English. If you want to watch individual episodes (rather than one huge episode) here is a playlist;

      Some background on these episode from Wikipedia:

      Little Krishna is a 3D computer-animated series which is a co-creation between BIG Animation and India Heritage Foundation (promoted by ISKCON Bangalore).

      Based on the chronicles of the most beloved prankster Little Krishna, the series is an outcome of seven years of research with two and half years of production work by BIG Animation. Scripted by Emmy Award winner Jeffrey Scott and researched by India Heritage Foundation which was based on the teachings of HDG A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the series has a visual style, which combines Indian design motifs with classical Western styles. The design team at BIG Animation has researched every style aspect of the land of 'Vraj', where these stories took place 5000 years ago.

      As an FYI, Iskcon Bangalore answers a few questions about these episodes which is an interesting read too:

      Many "small" stories taken are from texts from authorized servants of Krishna (Krishnadas Kaviraja, Rupa Goswami, Garga Samhita, etc.) and this is all mentioned there. I highly suggest reading before watching. There are a few spoilers, but there is a special bliss in watching these episodes.

      Krishna aur Kans is another animated movie based on research done on Srila Prabhupada's books. I liked Little Krishna way more because it felt sweeter and you could really see Krishna's naughtiness :) I couldn't find that on youtube, but it's on dailymotion:

      Link to Part 1. The rest should be in the side column, or found via a simple search, just replacing the title with the respective part number.

      I also second whatever Maral Mataji wrote. It's hard to do most of these because our mind is tempted by the temporary happiness material nature presents us, but it's a form of sacrifice to Krishna, and our only way of getting liberated from this material world.
