    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

As everyone else has mentioned, these are confidential pastimes of the lord, where only very advanced devotees can understand. THey do not normally comment.

Stealing of the gopis clothes was a way to accept them as His wives, what these gopis wanted.

People judge Krsna's character based on vastra haran and raas lila pastimes, because they are fanning their baser instincts and trying to justify them, giving these pastimes as examples. THese people conveniently forget that the same KRsna lifted Govardhana mountain. killed Putana, Aghasura, Bakasura, Shakatasura when He was still younger. There is no attempt to imitate those pastimes.

What they forget is - when one dwells on these pastimes, far from increasing the baser instincts, his heart becomes cleansed of all lust. The problem is - they only see these pastimes periphery. They do not try to understand these pastimes and the purport of acharyas. To understand them, one needs to be adequately qualified Needs to have proper knowledge of Gita and Srimad Bhagawatam. THen one can read acharyas commentary on these pastimes.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

    • Hare Krishna,

Greetings to you for Jagganath Snana Yatra/Purnima

      Yes I understood mataji.

      Thank you for your answer.

      Hare Krishna.

  • Hare Krishna Prabhu ji,

Frist of all none of us are qualified to answer this question.

One should never question the activities of Lord. Lord can do anything. It is inbetween His devotees and Him.  We are not on that platform to even delve into these intimate leelas of Lord.

One who questions and judges Character of LORD is calling for doom or destruction on himself.

If one's ego become too high they doubt and judge God and HIS activities also. For such  a person there is no need to answer him also. Becuase he/ she is thinking on lust and mateiral platform.

These leelas of Lord has very very deep inherent meaning which we ordinary souls cannot understand nor cannot explain.  One has to reach  spiritual platform and leave all bodily dealing with all people around to understand such leelas also.

First of all-- Lord's intimate devotees are nitya siddhas'. Lord knows their past and present and future. In the past these gopi's were Sages in dandakaranya ..When Lord Sri Rama visited them. They saw Lord and were suddenly struck by cupid all of them. All of them fell at the feet of Lord and said.. though we have been performing tapasya in the forest leaving all our families and bondages for so many years...still we have not able to cut this lust in us.. As soon as YOU came in front of us we all got delude by  YOUR beauty and feel ashamed to tell you that we have this feeling of serving you as your wife.  Lord Rama being eka patni vrat in that life.. And the sages were in male bodies that time. Lord Sri Rama said  kala kramena.. ( in course of time) whatever you have wished for will happen!!!!

That is why these  sages of Treta yuga became gopis' and dwapar yuga and all of them wished for marrying Sri Krishna. They all performed Katyayani vrat, to please goddess katyayani to  them boon that they all get married to Sri Krishna.  Krishna who is Supersoul knows the hearts of these devotees sages and all their wish. So, on that day when these girls were getting ready for praying to Mata on the last day of vrat.. They were taking bath in the Yamuna to get ready for perfoming the vrat. Lord came there HE was only ( 6-7yr old at that time).

Lord wanted showered HIs grace by not letting them do this big mistake which they were doing that day. So that the Katyaayani devi vrat would become nullified.!!!!  So Lord wanted to make them realize this mistake that they shouldn't take bath in rivers without clothes.  It is written in Puranas and Vedas... One must never take bath in river without clothes.  Men as well as woman also. This is a big mistake that those little girls were doing. So, Lord took away the clothes and taught them this lesson.  And perfected them in completion of the vrat.

And also showed His acceptance that He has accepted them all as His wives.  This leela cannot/ SHOULD Not be immitated by ordinary people.!!!!!!!!!!!

This is special leela performed by Lord for His devotees who wished nothing but Lord's intimacy. This should be viewed as  Jivatma and Parmatma relationship.

Soul is a part of Supersoul and never seperate from it .. When the soul become Vimukha Or feels Independent.. It will try to shunn this relationship ( jivaatma and parmatma bond) and  Thereby, feels seperate and Independent  from Lord .. At that juncture THE SOUL GETS AN OUT COVERING CALLED THE BODY.

IF Jivatma wants to get back to Parmatma and become one with HIM . He must lose body consciousness.. Lord said.. If you want to come to ME back.. You must lose this body consciouness and come out of the River and take ur clothes.  Unless you lose the bodily consciousness and come to Spiritual platform that You are a SOUL  ( you keep identifying urself as either male or female). than how can you even think of going back to God.

It is normal for a woman to get attracted to a beautiful man. Isn't it..?  If you lose that feeling that you are a female body.. or you are a male body than only you can go and become one with parmatma.

( In last life these girls were males, this life they are females.. so the one which is not changed from last life and this life is only the  SOUL).

soul's out covering is the body !!!!

If you leave this bodily feelings you are no longer shy!!! isn't it. ??

The girls can come out of water.. easily if they don't even have any feeling of their bodies.. anymore. !!!

So Lord said come out of water collect ur clothes then I will accept you all.!!!

At first girls were ashamed that means they have not yet crossed the bodily idea that they are female..!!! The time they felt no longer inside the body they crossed the river came and took the clothes and thus got accepted by LORD.

This is a very deep meaning of this leela.

See, If  " Anushk.V" is feeling he is male.. it is because now this life he is in male body.. In last life he could have been in cat body or female body or rat body. Do you take pride of this present bodY??  It is foolishness that which you are Is the SOUL which didn't change thru so many life times. The outer covering ( the cat, rat , female, male bodies have been changing like we change clothes everyday).

Lord Said.. remove the shyness and bodily feeling that and come to me.. without ur clothes.. ( without ur clothes means.. Lord wants them to come to the SOUL platform)

People of LESS INTELLIGENCE interpret this in a different way as per their mental concoctions and bodily ideas and lusty thoughts.

They think Krishna is lusty man and girls are lusty .. This is utter foolishness and this type of judging the Character and Activities of Lord Should be avoided.

If you don't know anything better not to touch such topics.  We must not even go to such topics because we are all on bodily platform only as of now.  Okay!   I hope it is clear.

    Hare Krishna.

    • Hare Krishna,

Greetings to you for Jagganath Snana Yatra/Purnima.

      Yes I understood mataji.

      Thank you for your answer.

      Hare Krishna.

    • Yes, Prabhupada often said only very advanced devotees are ready for the 10th canto of the Bhagvatam.  When he wrote the Krsna books, they were a nice synopsis of the 10th canto, without a lot of the details. He said it was best not to dwell on those pastimes.  Many people complain that Krishna had too many wives, and they bad mouth the rasa lila (usually while holding up Rama as a better example).  Prabhupada said yes, Krishna can be a rascal - and it is not for us to judge the Lord in His pastimes.
