अनुकम्पयते विश्वंवैष्णवः कुलभूषणः।
न सेवयां विधन्यस्तियस्य कृपापरायणः॥
anukampayate visvamvaishnavah kula-bhushanahna sevayam vidhanyasti
yasya kripa-parayanah"

Vaishnavas, who are the ornaments of their families, show compassion towards the entire universe. There is no one in this world who does not receive their service, for they are fully dependent on the mercy of the Supreme Lord."
सर्वभूतहिते रताः वैष्णवाः समदर्शिनः।
तेपि सर्वेश्वरं भजन्तिह्यपावर्गप्रदर्शनम्॥
sarva-bhuta-hite ratah vaishnavah samadarinah te'pi sarveshvaram bhajanti
hyapavarga-pradarsanam"

Vaishnavas are always engaged in the welfare of all living beings and are impartial towards everyone. They worship the Supreme Lord, who bestows liberation. The sight of such Vaishnavas is the gateway to liberation."

𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗿𝗶 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶 : Vaishnavas are known for their intense devotion to Sri Hari, whom they consider the supreme deity. They engage in various forms of worship and service to the Lord, including chanting his names, offering him food and flowers, and performing elaborate rituals in his honor.
"Only by knowing the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, can one get liberation from the cycle of birth and death."

"Always chanting My glories, endeavoring with great determination, bowing down before Me, these great souls perpetually worship Me with devotion."

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 : Vaishnavas are expected to be compassionate and kind to all living beings, seeing them as part of Sri Nārāyaṇa creation. They are encouraged to practice non-violence and to help others in need.
The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater.

𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 : Vaishnavas are taught to be humble and respectful to others, recognizing that all living beings are ultimately part of the same divine consciousness. They are also expected to show reverence to their gurus and other spiritual authorities.
Devotees are always tolerant, forbearing and very merciful. They are the well- wishers of every living entity. They follow the scriptural injunctions, and because they have no enemies, they are very peaceful. These are the decorations of devotees.

𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 : Vaishnavas place great importance on the study and understanding of the Vedic scriptures, which they consider to be the ultimate authority on spiritual matters. They often engage in study circles and other forms of group learning to deepen their understanding of the scriptures.
"One who is well versed in the Vedic scriptures and who follows the path of devotional service with faith and devotion is truly a Vaishnava."

𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝗸𝘁𝗶 : Vaishnavas have a deep love for the devotional practices of bhakti, which they believe can lead them to a closer relationship with Sri Hari. They often sing kirtans and bhajans, or engage in other forms of devotional expression, as a way to connect with the divine.
[Sri Bhagavan said to Durväsă Muni]: "I am completely under the control of My devotees. Indeed, I am not at all independent. Because My devotees are completely devoid of material desires, I sit only within the cores of their hearts. What to speak of My devotee, even those who are devotees of My devotee are very dear to Me."

"It is recognized that the highest religious principle in human society is devotional service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead, beginning with the chanting of the holy name of the Lord,nāma-saākīrtana.

These are just a few of the characteristics of Vaishnavas who are dear to the Lord -
One who is not envious but is a kind friend to all living entities, who does not think himself a proprietor and is free from false ego, who is equal in both happiness and distress, who is tolerant, always satisfied, self-controlled, and engaged in devotional service with determination, his mind and intelligence fixed on Me – such a devotee of Mine is very dear to Me.
(Bhagavad Gita 12:13-14)
