Is it possible to understand the Bhagavad Gita correctly with out a devotee because I read the Gita in favor of Krsna and as a 24/7 rich thinker and I haven't had to much trouble with it. Though I am a beginner devotee I actually understand it. Im not a post graduate of it though I was just wondering if it's possible?

Thank you - Hare Krsna!!
I read the Gita once before and I have a terrible memory. I'm reading it again and I know I'm fool number one. But am curious about if one can read it in favor of Krsna as a good thinker without much associating with devotees to understand it?
