Please suggest tips for taking care of tulsi plant. My tulsi dies every 2-3 months.

PAMHO.

I checked your profile, you are in Chennai, so am I.

To take care of your tulsi, try giving water that you use for drinking (Bisleri), do tulsi arati every day atleast once. IF you see ants are coming, put cow urine.

Nothing actually, one has to stay away from artificial fertilisers and use only natural stuff - cow urine, cow dung, pray everyday. Do not put too much water. Better to put little water.

Keeping cutting the manjaris and dry leaves with a scissors kept specifically for the purpose.
