There are a few question, I would like to know from the Krishna Conscious devotees... I hope, you will help me

1) Why do devotees wear Tulsi mala?
2) What is its importance?
3) How to maintain? and what are the things to keep in mind when you wear it?
4)Who are eligible to wear it?

    Tulasi is sacred and considered very dear to Lord Krsna. The four regulative principles are no meat-eating, no alcohol, no gambling and no illicit sex. These are the very foundation of our devotional service. Also, it is preferable if someone wearing tulasi beads also abstains from eating onion and garlic.

    Devotees wear Mala from Tulasi because Tulasi is a sacred Tree it protects one's body pure. And does not allow other subtle living entities attack the body.

    It is sign that we are Devotees of Krishna Master of Tulasi, Vrinda Devi.

    First one should follow 4 regulative principles.

    When we buy new mala we can apply some ghee on it.
