I have some questions to ask
first of all
why do some people claim that the Vaishnava puranas are not authentic and the Vaishnava Upanishads are not veidic? Some even say that the puranas should only be accepted once they are accepted by the Vedas and therefore the Vaishnava puranas are not accurate
also an unscrupulous person told me that narayana param Brahma tattvas narayana parah is the wrong translation of the Narayana suktam he told me that it is Narayana param-Brahmatattva Narayana parah
And he uses this interopolation to say that Narayana is actually a lesser manifestation of Sri shiva…and he was actually a Rishi who became a Brahma tattva by his merit
listening to all this had made my mind feel very disturbed as for the past one year I have completely surrendered myself unto the transcendental service of Sri Krishna paramatma who I believe to be the supreme personality of godhead and the source to all the plenary portions of godhead
but right now I myself do not know what to do to right now because of all these unscrupulous commentaries by the Shaivas and the smartas
how do I deal with all this?
Someone please be my Sri Krishna like bhagavan himself was to Arjuna, which in this case is clearly me.

The battle between the forces of Lord Siva and Lord Krsna was rather brief and not longstanding. It ended with the primary weapon of Lord Siva (Siva jvara) surrendering unto Lord Krsna after being tormented by the Narayana jvara. The details are described in the 63rd chapter of Tenth Canto Srimad Bhagavatam. Every Vaisnava should remember this incident.

then they will say that Lord Shiva saved the universe bye drinking the halal poison which nobody could drink then what answer do you have? They will add that in fact it was Krishna himself who told Lord Shiva to drink the poison. It is better that a Hindu respects other Hindus beliefs. What is the need to get into this show of supremacy?? remember batoge to katoge. of course against peoples of other religion especially Muslims you must show them their place otherwise it's only time waste

There can also be many unfair comparisons, because the very nature of Lord Krsna and Lord Siva is different as milk is to curd.
The comparison also is not ordinary because only These two Lords, Lord Visnu and Lord Siva are more than jiva tattva. Rest everyone including Lord Brahma are jivas.
However, nothing is more decisive than a direct battle because either sides are fighting for victory.
In the battle which occured between the two Lords and Their armies, Lord Krsna and His forces were victorious. Lord Siva and his weapon offered prayers of glorification to Lord Krsna in the end.
This should close the discussion unless someone wants to argue?

they will continue to argue that war cannot be decisive because even Lord Ramchandra fell to Naagpash. Lakshman vas ko twice and it was the Shiv Avatar Lord Hanuman who rescued him and even Lord Krishna ran away from Jarasandh . They will say that it was Lord Shiva who gave Sudarshan discuss to Lord Vishnu from Shiv Puran
if you is read the story of halahal poison it was going to destroy all the three worlds and only Lord Shiva saved everyone
So basically the point is why to argue and waste time unnecessarily. Vaishnavas falling victim to the age of quarrel is unfortunate

This is the moral of the chapter. It is upto you to remember it or not!

bro I understand that you are a big fan of this chapter and I respect that but I hope you understood what I want to say.
With due respect to this chapter There are many chapters in the SB which guarantees liberation and devotional service to the lord which is the aim of every vaishnava. I think Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that a true Yogi is the one who is not disturbed by victory and defeats
Now a shivbhakt will quote from shivpuran aur ling Puran and show similar line and the arguments will continue

You raised a good point though!
A true yogi is always equipoised in victory and defeat so why should he give more importance to victory alone?
I am also reminded of the english general Wellington who defeated Napolean Bonaparte at Waterloo. He said that next to a battle lost the saddest thing is a battle won. Bonaparte told his general before the war that God has nothing to do with this battle whereas Wellington prayed to God.
Ultimately victory and defeat are in Krsna's hand.
If you love Krsna then you would never complain in case of failure. Therefore Mahaprabhu prays that even if He is trampled by Krsna it won't change His love for Krsna.
