    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

It is considered that if one does not break fast in the parana timing mentioned, then the fast continues into dwadasi. I do not know the reason why - but there are instances where people commit some offence while observing ekadasi fast, like eating grains by mistake. Then they are told to continue the fast into dwadasi.

I will try to find out why and tell you prabhuji. Please bear with me for some time.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Rashmi

    • Hare krishna, thanks for the answer. I have been doing something on my own. I ask this question because I keep preaching a group of people from the university on nutrition, so I was suggesting them to follow ekadasi day's. They are actually doing, and getting good results on their health, control mind, and of course taking participation in devotional activities like this coming Goura Poornima. So just in case someone ask about why there is a proper time to break the fast. And that help for having a better understanding too. Thaks again for your time mataji.
