Target: 3.5 crore times chanting

Hare Krishna! In Kali-Santarana Upanishad Lord Brahma says that one needs to chant 3.5 crores or 35 million times in Kali yuga. I never read SP mentioning about any specific target other than 16 rounds. what all you devotees have to say about this & who is honorable Swami Gaurangapada?
