Hare Krishna!I am still a neophyte. I read somewhere about the siddha deha status of our acaryas, but there wasn't any mention of our Srila Prabhupada's siddha deha though.I am curious about this concept of siddha deha. How do they know what manjaris they were in their spiritual form? What is the proof? Why Srila Prabhupada didn't reveal his siddha deha to us? Is there a scriptural reference regarding their siddha deha? Please clear my doubts, dear devotees.Thank you.

  • Siddha deha means perfect body, therefore siddha deha is not mortal.

Those who died didnt have siddha deha, but they could get it after living material body.

  • Jaya Nitai!

This is a very high subject matter, and we should be careful not to speculate on this beyond what our acharyas have revealed. We know the Siddha Deha of our acharyas due to the most beautiful and exalted book Sri Gaura Ganoddesa Dipika by Srila Kavi Karnapura which reveals the identities of all of Lord Gauranga's associates in Krsna Lila. Harinama Cintamani which is a book by Bhaktivinoda Thakur that describes the conversation between Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu and Haridas Thakur also discusses how the Siddha Deha is formed gradually due to the influence of the Name.

Our later Acharyas have revealed Their Siddha Dehas to us through Their correspondences, letters, lectures and bhajans. For example, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura reveals to us His siddha deha in His Gitamala:

    varaṇe taḍita bāsa tārābalī

    kamala mañjarī nāma

    sāḍe bāra barṣa bayasa satata

    svānanda-sukhada-dhāma

"This maidservant has a complexion just like lightning, and she is wearing a sari which has star like decorations all over it. My name is Kamala Manjari. Eternally appearing to be only twelve-and-a-half years of age, I always live within the abode of Svananda-sukhada-kunja."

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur revealed His siddha deha (as Nayana Manjari) to us in a letter to His disciple (which I cannot find at the moment). The point is, we know this claims are correct, because Srila Prabhupada and other acharyas have confirmed them in their books.

As for Srila Prabhupada's Siddha Deha, that is very confidential, because Prabhupada did not reveal it to us directly. Many of His disciples like Srila Gour Govinda Maharaj believed that Prabhupada was in Madhurya rasa, while others (like His Godbrother Srila Bhaktirakshaka Sridhara Maharaj) believed that He was in Sakhya Rasa. That is why, we should try not to speculate on this. Whatever Prabhupada's spiritual form is, it is a very high subject, and the Name will reveal to us when it is time.

That is the point actually. The Holy Name will automatically reveal our Siddha Deha, there is no point in pursuing it externally. When the time is right, the Name itself will reveal the form, qualities, pastimes of Krsna and finally our Spiritual Body in those pastimes. This is confirmed by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur in the last Bhajan of Sarangati:

purna vikasita hoiya,  braje more jaya loiya,

    dekhay more swarupa-vilas

more siddha-deha diya,  krsna-pase rakhe giya,
    e dehera kore sarva-nas
" Being fully manifest, the holy name of takes me to Vraja and reveals to me His own love dalliance. He gives to me my own divine, eternal body (siddha deha), keeps me near Krsna and completely destroys this mortal frame of mine"

So just have faith in acharyas, worship Lord Nitai (to make our chanting offense less) and chant Harinama, and the Holy Name will do the rest. Jaya Nitai!
